erm why the firmware 2.2 restore.ipsw icon i downloaded doesnt match the icon showed at iclarified ? after i extracted it, it comes out to be a few different file, my iphone is 2g

other than tht is for iphone 3g files...

hi to all sifu here, i have been scanning thru ur jailbreak tread.

i'm currently using an 3G iphone officially unlocked from singapore.
Do jailbreaking means i can download need to pay apps from apple store in itunes or does it enable us to only download apps thru cydia and/or installer 4?

and if i jailbreak my iphone, if anything happens can i restore it back to the original 3G unlocked iphone? by pressing the restore button?

will i be still able to sign all my stuff such as songs, video, ringtone, app etc like usual thru itune after i jailbreak it?

If u just want to jailbreak, use QuickPwn instead. 5 mins job and its done.

Nope ... just use Quickpwn and presto ... your phone is jailbroken.

Trust me ... its a walk in the park and takes 5 mins (if you follow the instruction).

I would recommend pwnagetool than quickpwn. Is safer in my opinion.

1) Make coffee.

2) Try to read the first post if you can.

3) Try to understand the guide provided if you can and save the guide to your computer.

4) Launch the software and follow the guide lor.

5) After 15 minutes, your phone already JB if you follow the guide close close.

That's all. Next time, read la the first post and don't ask what to do next...

It takes days for me to download the iPhone1,2_2.2_5G77_Restore.ipsw (246Mb). Any where that I can fast downloading. Thanx in advance.

Using the link provided. After downloading for last 3 hours and still got 63 hours to complete... Not sure whether can wait that long..
