i have my old backup data and recovered it too. but the GPS didnt seem to work.
btw, i'm using garmin que.
can anyone share the settings for using GPS on 6515. coz i plan to sell the device as i already have garmin nuvi.

i just revived my old old hp rw6515 lol. happens that the back latch is broken and i had bought a new casing. problem solved.

what error does it show? if u set the GPS port correctly, u will find the GPSProxy will acquiring satellites and the strength will get stronger ... i hope u can that done before further setups on GPSProxy and Que

i did it at an open space for quite awhile. seems there's no change like before at the garmin que.
gps proxy shows no change too. it just notes there fix type = invalid. btw, these were my settings: NMEA Input: GPS COM PORT : COM7 Log Input : ticked APPLICATION COM PORT: COM8 Log Garmin Protocol: unticked GPS PRODUCT ID: 9999 GPS SOFTWARE VERSION: 100 GPS PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: GPSProxy GPS Unit ID: 1234567890 SNRdB Min: 30 SNRdB Max: 50 Virtual COM PORTS: COM6: COM8: |

anyway these are my settings.. and it works fine .. pls take note that my GPSProxy might slightly different with yours coz i'm using different version but IMO it doesn't matter..
This is my GPSProxy version 2.2c (modified by wsian from Malsingmaps.com) ![]() And this is the setting @ Menu>Extensions>Configure ![]() **GPS COM Port = is where your GPS port located.. in my case, COM 4 is the internal GPS port for my Tytn II I hope this helps u This post has been edited by pcboy: Sep 14 2008, 10:18 AM |

for 6515, i have selected NMEA 0183 as the device type, and the COMPort is COM7: Internal AGPS NMEA.
i dont know what went wrong |
