For those who are not updated, our very own DNA-SK just knocked out SK.Gaming's Dota team out of the Farm4Fame online Dota tournament last night. This make them join the exclusive club of Malaysian teams who managed to inflict a loss on 1 of the so called World's top team despite playing on a European 1 second lag host. Teams that beat them before are :
Cybertime 1 (aka Ct.ROA) w4si Kingsurf
All in all, the tournament was a success springing surprises from the word go. The scratch team of * managed to give a hard wake up call for teams out there who wants to dethrone Kingsurf as number 1 in Malaysia. The depth of individual quality shown in this team will be the benchmark of all players from now till the SMM Grand Finals.
Will browse through the replays I find interesting and write short reports on the replays and some thoughts as I go through them. Each replay will be on a new post unless no one posted since the last one I typed.
Hopefully it will generate a serious discussion of strategy among all teams and be the catalyst of another round of growth in Dota here in Malaysia.

* vs ICE
This Round 2 match-up featuring the top team of Penang face off with the scratch team of 2 Ks members namely Sakura and Yamateh , Flizzardo , Noname (a former star player of Autosurf) and a girl who is known as Bubu as IGN. Highlight of the game is the solo battle at min between Yamateh's Destroyer and Wenz's ShadowFiend. As time goes on , its obvious Yamateh's solo prowess is just too much to handle. SF just cant keep up with the Destroyers huge basic dmg and got last outhitted many times resulting in poorer farm throughout the game. Sakura finally got to play his Qop which scores him quite a few kills as a result of mistakes from ICE. As time goes on, it is obvious that this game will be Yamateh's Destroyer show. With Guinsoo, BKB and Refresher Orb up before the 50th mins, ICE's time is pretty numbered. However, the failure to sucessfully finish off ICE so nearly caused them the victory. ICE's Dragon Knight played by SEANz managed to reach level 16 and has the all important BKB on him. Tanking all damages unleashed by Destroyer and Qop, the DK almost managed to single handedly raise ICE from the dead. In the end, some basic teamwork error from ICE got abused by Team * and they managed to end the game by taking down all 6 raxes with the biggest upset at Round 2.
