Okay done!
Had to resync music to get Genius in, but once in, works like a charm! Also, backup now is super fast! Mine was done in less than 2 minutes! I suppose this mean it is an incremental backup, instead of a full backup every single time you decide to sync. NOW I can re-enable the "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected". Had it checked off since the infernally long backup glitch. Typing SMSes is fast, typing a response on a text window in Safari is fast, and while I'm on Vodafone.de carrier, it is a 3G network, and I've got full bars. The real litmus test would be when I'm back home in 2 days. *singing to the McD tune* "I'm loving it!" |

Just a little something I noticed on Firmware 2.1.
I have songs on playlists on my Aifontriji. Pre-firmware-2.1, the songs are just....well, songs. Now, the songs comes with their title bolded on the top, and their album details underneath it. Pretty cool if you have multiple songs of the same names but you want to identify which albums they come from. Added on September 14, 2008, 1:21 amAlso, triple-clicks on your stock earphones works! Doubleclick to forward to the next song, single click to play, and tripleclick to jump back a song! Now I can really leave the Aifontriji in the pocket and click away. Yup, but normal earphones does not have the button clicker on the cable to change songs/pause.
Okay, I had to do another restore. Reason being, accessing the "Mail, Contact and Calendar" tab, and scrolling to the bottom hangs that setting page for a split second, and spits me out to the Home screen. The restore/backup process is no longer a dreaded and cringed upon, because of how fast the process is. Apple certainly have improved on it. |

Genius only works after resync. If you are manually managing your music via playlist, simply uncheck and check the playlist boxes again, and click "Sync". That should do it.
As for the single/double/tripleclicks, it works with the iPhone headphones that comes with your iPhone. You dont have to get the brand new one that was announced with the new Nano. |

You need to tripleclick relatively fast to get that to work. Make sure "Genius" is already on your iPhone, which means you need Firmware 2.1 AND an initial resycn of your songs to bring Genius into the iPhone.
Use the same tempo to tripleclick when clicking as how you doubleclick. If the spaces between clicks are not registered regularly, it may be interpreted as a single click with a double click later, or vice versa. You'll get used to it. |

Specifically to friends, and generally to everyone who have purchased Zen Pinball Rollercoaster game from AppStore, the update to that game is now available for download for free. I hope this fixes the graphical glitch that Firmware 2.1 introduced.
EDIT: Just updated mine, yes it did fix it! Comes with new "2.1" icon, and works beautifully. friends, update yours quick! This post has been edited by stringfellow: Sep 16 2008, 03:55 PM |
