I KNOW THAT THERE IS A SIMILAR POLL IN THIS FORUM.
I START THIS TOPIC BECAUSE THERE ARE NUMEROUS OF PROBLEMS WITH EACH COLOR.
FOR EXAMPLE THE WHITE IPHONE HAS CRACK LINES,THE BLACK IPHONES HAS FINGER PRINTS ALL OVER.
USERS OF THE BLACK AND WHITE IPHONE,PLS GIVE US SOME FEEDBACK.
THIS WILL REALLY HELP FUTURE BUYERS CHOOSING THE RIGHT PHONE FOR THEM.

OPINIONS FROM WHITE 3G IPHONE USER : IT DOESNT GO WITH INVINSIBLE SHIELD OR BSE.
IT LOOKS UGLY WITH IT.

UPDATES : MY FRIEND'S BLACK IPHONE 16GB'S SOUND BUTTON JUST CAME OUT (SILENT BUTTON) .MAYBE ITS JUST ALL IPHONES NOT JUS THE BLACK 1.

i don't have iphone yet (probably gonna miss your pre-order ) but i always stick to black even it'll catch a lot of fingerprints.

you guys should take my opinions with a pinch of salt as i never own iphone before but all the while i always buy phone in black colour (given the choice of black or white).

but i gotta agree that white is the trademark of apple, i'd prefer white IF apple make the front panel look all white also like ipod classic (which doesn't go well with the metal ring, though). the reason i said black looks better cause of the unity (correct word?) of the colour of the whole body.

PS: oh talking about ipod classic, the 6th gen ipod felt very cheap on hands especially the black one. while the 5.5th gen felt really great and the white looks very gorgeous!

initially i was after black iPhone 3G, but ran out of stock, so end up using white....still admire black iPhone 3G untill i get a white flick case a few days ago, haha (wierd reason), it looks really nice on it.. now i like white more

btw, the hairline crack doesn't seems to be that common among white as well, afaik all the ppl who got white iPhone 3G here don't have any crack.

But when you holding it front, that Black screen + silver frame is cool.

i prefer white, because it will look more sexy and more "radiant" lols, because of why..? because when people see you using a white phone, especially when you make a call, people will look at you because they saw a white thing near you ear or when you keep it on your hand, they will see it and definitely they asking/watching and keep wandering what it is,

if it was black, its not as much "radiant" compare to white because not all people spot it since it is black, and also, alot of phone is black so they somehow not noticing it....

white if definitely SEXY but black is COOL, MACHO. haha...

haha, ya thats right, when put casing, no more sexy compare to naked 1, but i dont like use casing, it will cover iphone sexiness, but if clear case, thats another story..

must be very thin case then, preferable thin clear case, but then there is none which is compatible with iPhone 3G's dock atm

i don't use my old iPod Touch with any case, only clip hanger, haha

hahaha.. Just to give opinion.... Yg penting semua happi......

avoid invinsible shield or anything similar, it looks ugly on white iPhone 3G and it wont fit into the dock properly as well, i tear it off after 3-4 days of use..


if u want something thin and clear, use airjacket..

or if u want thin and nice white case and compatible with the iPhone 3G dock, i recommend contour flick

I didnt use Invinsible shield, but something of the same material bestskinever (cheaper alternative about RM70+), I did use it on my old iPod Touch before, and it doesn't look that bad....

but on iPhone 3G, since it is white, u can see those dust stick to the edge of the shield, and for some reason, My jeans blue colour went onto the shield, and it looks blue-ish, so it is damn ugly...

Yeah, black with invisible shield is nice, but putting the shield on is a difficult. It took me 1hour and the outcome was not so nice on the edge.

i prefer naked white, forget about those skins casings...

it is quite hard to literally change the housing for the 3g version.


the first gen is relatively easy, yes. from my study of the schematic diagrams and pictures, most of the parts actually rest on the casing for the 3g version.


most of the components of the first gen rests on the screen as opposed to the 3g version.

This is not Nokia snap on casing.

i played with both and the i decided to go with the white one..
i feel that the white one is more outstanding, aesthetic wise

another reason i decided to go for white is that
the black is such a horrendous fingerprint magnet,
something i feel like avoiding, whereas in the white version
thumb prints are not really visible at all

one more small reason is that IMO apple is known for their
white products or should i say "specialised" in white
for their products

but black is good for being discreet..hm
actually black is also the killer colour

I feel that white is more "fashionistic" and trendy
while the black is more professional and business looking
for the iPhone 3g
