I think we should start a thread and expose all the workshops that are not good in terms of service or repair and also those who overcharged!!!!

Hope this can help those who are looking for a workshop beware.


Here's the workshops list that you guys has mentioned and for others to beware of :

Ok, i'll start. For those in Bangi/Kajang area, avoid KIAT MUN AUTO!!!

Locations;
1. Seksyen 8, Bandar Baru Bangi (in front PKNS complex)
2. Seksyen 9, Bandar Baru Bangi (in front masjid jamek bangi)
3. Seksyen 15, Bandar Baru Bangi (next to petronas)
4. Jalan Reko, Kajang

and few other branches i might not know and might be using other name. I know they are part of the chain, as I can see the bosses at different places sometime.

Guilty of;

1. Faking brake pump failure, by prying open the rubber seal while customer not looking so it leaks oil.
2. Faking absorber failure, by smearing oil on the absorber while customer not looking.
3. few cases of botched timing belt installation. (leaking seal, bent shaft, using gasket cement on the seals, etc)
4. all parts being sold are of very very very low quality OEMs, except for the engine oil.
5. changed parts without asking for owners' consent and refused to remove item by telling their victims that the parts were really damaged or really hard to take out.
6. etc.

Tell all your friends & relatives to avoid going to this workshop. Their likely victims are lady drivers, students and those who leave their car with them out of sight.

Perkhidmatan Tayar GLC

Location: Pusat Komersial, Seksyen 7, Shah Alam

Claiming your tyre got more then one punctured and have to pay extra to mend it.

Always trying to get you to change new tyre when you don't necessary need to. (went to another shop which told me I dont have to !!)

While trying to be friendly and offer to check your air-conditioning for you but you will sure to tell you that you need to change filters, service, etc.

Fix a lot of big bike.

always asking me where u repair this bike.and then he said that part not original one.from his shop can make a tiptop condition.
he said my engine crack. but it was good condition when i sent there.there is no leaking
change my radiator to 2nd hand parts.radiator fan not functioning properly
bad workmanship.lots of screws n and bolt missing.my side mirror allenkey also missing.

some victim at this shop said he saw...certain part of my bike they took it and replaced with used one.
now everywhere i go with my bike for a long distance.always overheat.

now everytime i ride in front of this shop..i give 'em my middle finger.

seriously i like this topic. TS should copy paste the shop name and location into your 1st post. Other forumer should contribute as well. Even a slight disappointment with the shop is a good indication that the shop should be avoided.

Name : didnt remember. the workshop owner name is Simon ..

Location : located at kepong. his shop is a modification workshop located infront a big recycle center .

Scenario : send my car there with only damaged piston rings. and end-up with rm 12++ overcharged bill. i did ask to install the GAB absorber. then after everything is installed, i go there and see. white smoke come out and timing way crazy .. like mesin basuh .. he said it was the turbine fault . why can laa . i just sent the turbine out for rebuild 3 days before. then quickly he came out with another excuse .. saying got black oil in the exhaust .. so when start the car, it burn there .. resulting the white smoke .. the next day, i pay him and sent to other shop.


Name : didnt remember. the workshop owner got two . one of them ppl call ah fai ..

Location : located at puchong . from sunway toward puchong. IOI is at ur right side. straight and there will be a toll area, u turn before the toll. after a small temple at ur left, go in left then right, u will see superbike shop. the shop is a corner lot 2nd row after the superbike shop. infront got a glass shop.

Scenario : send my car for engine transplant. after 2 months, still no work ..when the work does started, the process kinda fast. but their work are louzy. the engine mounting is unbalance. u can see the engine tilt abit to downward to the right. they stole various of previous engine stuff such as boost controller, silicone hoses, intercooler silicone hoses, complete front bay engine wiring, driveshaft, shiftlight and controller. i got angry and stuff but they denied it and dont want to replace .. since im selling the previous engine and the new owner already paid, i have to buy all the stuff that missing and cost more than rm 1k.

Need the name of the shop to post it on the first post, let us know when you remember the name of the shop

yes, agree..appeal to mod to combine the threads and clean it up by removing unneeded comments (like mine here).

Then put sticky on it.

Also, remind poster to include receipt as proof otherwise, it might be competitor posting for defamation.

Weird thing is I had good experiences with brothers accessories OKR and Ipoh branch.

They helped fixed some faulty electronics at no extra charges and workmanship is acceptable....

brothers got over charged you ? sure or not, their price quite standard one and it's all listed.

Seksyen 7,pusat komersial..got two place u should beware..one is castrol auto servoce at the back with a malay and indian worker..i went to change my alternator,i checked online before going,cost for changing is about 160 plus workmanship,around 200,but this shop charge me about 450 for total..and i ask how long,then they say have to leave there,evening get,what the hell?alternator change just need 1 hour or so,so i went to another one..now this one,i went before,they repair my window,charge me rm80,but they say i have to change everything,cost around 300,but i refuse,so they just repair at rm80,n i could only use it once,i went again n scold them in english,now they repair again,its fine until now!..now i went ask for alternator change,they said total is 280..i dunno if thats fine,but i had no choice,but to me its kinda expensive,judge yourself,the shop name is S car i think,in seksyen 7,corner lot,next to giant
