its better to read www.babypips.com first as it teaches u a huge lot about trading forex.. Its better to use this time to learn and trade better next time rather then just simply clicking here n there without a clue and later when u start live ur account go down the toilet in a matter of days..

what are your views on this guys?

do u even know what a limit order is? Please try to be like dreams_achiever and learn forex instead of asking questions where a simply google search could answer you. No offence mate but i think its better for all of us actually and you will benefit from learning it yourself. I would be glad to guide u in things that u read but do not understand but please make some effort.

Limit order is when u set a specific point to buy or sell once the target is reached.. i set mine at 1.2605 for EU to sell.. it didn't reach that target.. instead it only reached 1.2595 before going downwards..

i think small-jeff uses fxcm.. i'm using oanda.. mph using meta tader with not sure which broker..

type any broker of ur choice and then add the word scam at the back.. it will provide u with some feedback there and choose those that u wish to believe. I've read a lot about fxcm and mostly its negative so i stayed away from it..

here's a little feedback on oanda

Great execution.. no requotes... spread USED to be extremely low until the market went crazy and drive the spread high (higher then mt4 platforms 65% of the time).. Charting is lousy.. its web-based..

depends on each broker.. i paid using bank wire (TT ) .. some accept paypal.. not aware of credit cards..

having holiday now.. anyway forex is a form of study.. i'm looking for sources to earn money in the time i have rather then next time when i work i have very little time.. I'm not saying forex is an easy income but i'm in the learning phase.. i started this account with small amounts in hope it will grow..

i use mt4 to chart and place my orders in oanda... oanda is now in partnership with another platform called fxspyder to provide better functions such as trailing stop etc.. u can test it out..

lol what do u mean nobody prefers to use mt4 as their broker.. in this forum MOST of the traders are on mt4.. I am the first oanda user (i think) on this forum before mph came n join me =)..

for me i used oanda for the tight spread --- 1
instant execution and no requotes --- 2
no fixed units.. i can even buy 1 single unit of EU -- 3
the net capital that they allocated is 40 million.. higher 8 times compared to the requirement of 5 million.. and cftc is about to raise it to 9 million.. --- 4

SL execution for mt4 isn't a big problem.. the problem with mt4 is the requotes part where u buy but then the price has moved therefore requoting u... sometimes u can get requoted about 20 times in a row.. it happens also when ur trying to liquidize ur position.. requotes again..

swing trader is good =) but it doesn't necessarily mean that u can't be a daytrader even though ur working.. because to me.. i dont monitor it either.. i just trade n go away... every 1 or 2 hours i just take a look at it.. if positive pips i put SL +1 .. thats about it.. i mean if u monitor it.. what can u really do? u can't control whether it goes up or down.. only thing u can do is minimize loss/maximize profit... u got SL and TP for that

i monitor 3... 2 actually... EU and EJ... GU i will look if both EU and EJ got no entry points..

haha i shorted at the outer TL dun enter any longs on yen pairs yet... better to wait for G7's actions.. next week probably right time to enter long..

increased both EU and EJ to 1288 and 788 units.. c if it pays off..
