But u need to download the client or get the CD.

WoW Starter Pack (comes with 1 month free subscription) :USD 19.99
WoW Burning Crusade Expansion pack (with 1 month free subscription) : USD 29.99

You can get both from the WoW Battlechest with 2 months free subscription at USD 39.99

Then the subscription fees start after those 2 months.

i not recommend a student start playing wow . Jas2davir is right u will waste many time in this games .

depends on individual, you could be addicted to arcade or worse, illegal activities such as drug abuse and you'd waste more time, money and your future.

The cost of the following too need to take into account:

IF married, playing WOW can cause the following:
a. Your PC get thrown out of the house due to neglecting the opposite, OR
b. You get to spend more time with WOW with the expense sleeping with the PC, OR
c. Your PC gets a sudden death situation when your opposite pulls out the power cable

Plus you get a God-like aggro which can last several weeks, which is more uber than getting aggro during raids.
