In an article at Variety talking about Fox's not-so-hot summer, the trade touches on some possible projects the studio is in talks about:

QUOTE
Though Fox has no plans for a major overhaul, the studio has scheduled a strategy meeting to assess the status of its superheroes, a group sorely missed this summer. On the agenda, Fox will mull the possibility of more "X-Men" spinoffs, including a young-X-Men project as well as "Deadpool," based on a character played by Ryan Reynolds in "Wolverine."

X-Men Origins: Magneto --> http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/696344

Any ideas if these singular X-Men movies will eventually tie in with The Avengers in 2011? biggrin.gif

Go read more Marvel comics! tongue.gif

Actually, i beg to differ..ryan reynolds should play Gambit.
the one who is playing Gambit, i can't remember the name but he was the same actor as in The Covenant..the long haired 1. Deadpool in the movie i think only wear a mask so if he play that char wouldn't make any difference.

Deadpool... my favorite anti-hero, same healing powers as Wolverine but totally scarred from that experiment. Not sure about Ryan Reynolds playing him though.

Deadpool Spin-Off Moving Forward

20th Century Fox is developing a X-Men Origins: Wolverine spin-off featuring Deadpool, the wise-cracking mercenary played in the film by Ryan Reynolds, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Reynolds is attached to reprise the character for what for now is simply being called Deadpool. Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studios would act as producers.

The project is currently out to writers.

The trade adds that the studio considered a Deadpool spin-off early in "Wolverine's" development process, which is why it cast Reynolds.

Wait a minute. In Origins: Wolverine, deadpool was mutated to Weapon 11 ...and was killed. So basically his story ends there. There is no future for him where movies are concerned. So we get to see his origins, knowing that he will be killed of like a small time character in Origins: Wolverine ? Doesn't feel right.

Yea, an anti-hero finally gets an acclaim. Amazing huh? Deadpool only got less than 10 minutes of show time in Wolverine Origins but there is already so much interest in this guy. happy.gif

I do think that Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool spot on! I had a set of Deadpool comic, and he is exactly like how they depict him in the movie, only more heartless and lesser baby eyed.

Fox taps 'Deadpool' writers
'Zombieland' duo to pen 'X-Men' spinoff, starring Ryan Reynolds

20th Century Fox is making progress with its "X-Men" spinoff, "Deadpool," and has tapped "Zombieland" scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to pen the screenplay.
Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as the wisecracking mercenary he portrayed in last year's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

There is no timetable on the Marvel property, though Reynolds has a window after wrapping the "Green Lantern" this summer.

Reynolds has been bulking up to play the DC Comics' hero "Green Lantern," which starts lensing next month. This means he would already be in superhero shape if the script for "Deadpool" is ready by summer.

Reese and Wernick, who wrote "Zombieland," will stay true to the mythology of "Deadpool" given that Reynolds is a huge fan and protector of the property.

The tone of "Deadpool," which features an antihero as opposed to the more traditional heroic comicbook protagonist, is very similar in tone to "Zombieland."

Lauren Shuler Donner is producing "Deadpool."

Reese and Wernick, high school friends who began collaborating in 2001, most recently sold the pitch "Earth vs. Moon" to Universal Pictures. The pair penned a draft of "Venom" for Sony/Marvel.

Fake or Not, These Deadpool Movie Posters Still Make Me Happy

user posted image

They’re fake, of course, but don’t let that stop you from getting all giddy about a possible “Deadpool” movie anyway. Sure, it’s probably a false hope at this point, given that Ryan Reynolds has been attached to the film forever and he’s now way too busy with “Green Lantern” and a sequel
or two if that film should prove to be a hit, which it undoubtedly will be. (I honestly can’t see a “Green Lantern” movie not doing “Iron man” business, to tell you the truth).

So where does that leave a “Deadpool” movie starring Ryan Reynolds? As fake movie posters around Manhattan, apparently.

WUdn't care if its fake. but, I can't think of anyone else who has been capable of being supremely sarcastic (aside from RDJ, which is unfit for the role) and capable of breaking the fourth wall than Ryan can. Thank God he boarded into a jeep and went for the audition for Two guys, a Girl and A pizza place. biggrin.gif

Robert Rodriguez in Talks to Direct Deadpool After All

user posted image

The initial report  of Robert Rodriguez being somehow involved in a “Deadpool” movie surfaced last month, but the director and the studio denied them. Then last week over at Comic Con, Rodriguez confirmed that he had indeed been given the script by Fox, and was reading it, though he refused to say if he was considering the director’s chair. Now according to the LATimes, Rodriguez is, indeed, in negotiations to direct a “Deadpool” movie starring Ryan Reynolds.

The article says no deals are in place, but that the two sides are definitely “negotiating” for Rodriguez to direct the comic book movie, a sequel (of sorts) to Fox’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, though the character was said to have outgrown that movie, and will in fact move in a completely different direction as if “Wolverine” never happened. Which is not a bad idea, given what they did to poor Deadpool in that one. Imagine, sewing Deadpool’s mouth shut. What’s next, making Superman knock up Lois Lane with a super baby? Ridiculous.

Rodriguez still has yet another entry in the lucrative “Spy Kids” franchise (the fourth one) on his plate, a film he announced over at Comic Con. After that, though, he appears to be free, which means a “Deadpool” movie is definitely a possibility for the Austin-based director. Will he be a good fit for it? Who knows, but he certainly has the kinetic action stuff down.

Robert Rodriguez on 'Deadpool': 'It's a great script'

John Horn caught up with Robert Rodriguez on Monday to talk about the success of "The Expendables" and the epic fail of "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" at the box office for an earlier article, and the conversation turned toward the filmmaker's own plans.

user posted image

Robert Rodriguez sounds like he's drawing a bead on "Deadpool." But will he pull the trigger?

“It’s a great script and a great property,” an enthusiastic Rodriguez said of the Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick ("Zombieland") screenplay that would bring the "merc with the mouth" from Marvel Comics to the screen in his own film adventure.

user posted image

Rodriguez says he has been in meetings with Twentieth Century Fox about directing the film, which, presumably, would star Ryan Reynolds, who portrayed the glib gunman "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Reynolds is becoming a major player in comic-book cinema considering his roles in next year's "Green Lantern" film, the planned "R.I.P.D." adaptation as well as his work in the "Blade" franchise.

Rodriguez, who just finished the final sound mix of "Machete," sounded gung ho about "Deadpool" but added that he is still debating his next project. “I’m just working everything out,” Rodriguez said, noting that he is choosing between three options for his next directing job. He said one is the long-discussed "Sin City 2" but he declined to name the other, though it could be "Nerveracker," a far-future thriller that was announced last year but hasn't moved as quickly as anticipated.

Robert Rodriguez May Be Out As Deadpool Director

It looks like Robert Rodriguez  and his bandana may not direct “Deadpool” due to scheduling conflicts. Between hyping “Machete” and directing another installment of the “Spy Kids” franchise (something I’m far too excited about), the timing doesn’t look like it is going to work out.

Rodriguez told Deadline that:-

"he has read the “Deadpool” script and likes it, but his own obligations promoting “Machete” and then directing “Spy Kids 4” has made his participation tenuous. “They are trying to make a certain small window that’s going to be tough because of ‘Spy Kids’ . . . If they push it back, it would be a lot better for me.”

Star Ryan Reynolds
is also busy, and has signed on to appear in “Safe House” with Denzel Washington. That film is scheduled to begin shooting early next year, which just so happens to be when Fox wanted to start filming “Deadpool”. If the title character is unavailable, I imagine the studio will most likely have to delay the start of production.

Ryan Reynolds Talks Deadpool’s Emotional Filth, Shame Spiral

user posted image

Anyone who has been exposed to Deadpool, the merc with a mouth in the comic book pages already knows that there’s more here than just another superhero movie. If there’s one thing Deadpool isn’t, it is just another superhero movie. In fact, I’m not even sure if you can call him a superhero. He’s kinda, well, morally challenged.

Ryan Reynolds
, who is still committed to playing the character (Fox has optimistically set a 2012 release date for the “Deadpool” movie), recently talked to the LATimes about the script, about the character, and what he calls Deadpool’s “shame spiral”. Sounds fun.

QUOTE
It goes in such a different direction than a superhero movie usually goes. It’s a nasty piece of work. It’s just based in so much emotional filth, completely. It’s like ‘Barfly‘ if it were a superhero movie. It sort of treads into the world of an emotionally damaged person. I always say that Deadpool is a guy in a highly militarized shame spiral…. It’s so different than the superhero movies to date, it departs so far from that.

Reynolds goes on to describe the “Deadpool” script by “Zombieland” writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the same script that Robert Rodriguez has already positively responded to, though it’s looking unlikely he’ll helm the movie given his busy schedule. But hey, there’s still a chance…

QUOTE
With Deadpool, it’s a lot like going to prison for the first day. You got to walk up and hit the biggest guy you see to establish a bit of cred. With Deadpool, early on you have to establish that moral flexibility. There’s a gamble to it — you’re going to lose a few people right at the beginning but you take the gamble and know that eventually you’re going to win them back. You won’t lose the hard-core fans of the character, they already know who he is. We have to play to a broader audience than that. As an actor you have to be willing to do something like … back in Vancouver we used to call it a [nasty] burger. ’You gotta eat the [nasty] burger to get to the cookies.’ And yes, I want to write a cookbook about that…

Reynolds also confirms what we already know, that the “Deadpool” movie will veer away from the character that showed up in the “Wolverine” movie, and the insane Deadpool will, when the need arises, break the fourth wall and talk directly to the audience.

So if you’re not familiar with the character, forget what you saw in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. That wasn’t Deadpool. That was some sanitized version of Deadpool that Reynolds just had to play and prove that he could. Now that he’s proven he can, it’s time for the real Deadpool.

2012? Oh, if wishes came true…

Dear Ryan,

Please abandon all other movies that you have in line for next year. You have done Green Lantern and we're happy. Now you should move to this. We want the real Deadpool even when the one that we used to have in Origins is very tame of you. Way too tame.

Come on Ryan. You know you can do it. I know you can.

Regards,

Dear Ryan,

Please abandon all other movies that you have in line for next year. You have done Green Lantern and we're happy. Now you should move to this. We want the real Deadpool even when the one that we used to have in Origins is very tame of you. Way too tame.

Come on Ryan. You know you can do it. I know you can.

Regards,
Kyo.

QUOTE
Ryan Reynolds Seems to Think he’ll Either Do R.I.P.D. or Deadpool, but Not Both

In which case, I got money that it’ll be “Deadpool”. Call it a hunch, or the fact that Reynolds has been talking up the role since forever, while “R.I.P.D.” has only recently come up. Then again, “R.I.PD.” already has itself a director, while “Deadpool” is flirting with Robert Rodriguez, so you can actually say that “R.I.P.D.” is further head in development…

In any case, here’s what Reynolds said about the two movies to IO9 while doing press for his new thriller “Buried”:

QUOTE
People sort of ask this question, like I have any say in the matter. They’re both movies I’m interested in, they’re both movies that are in fast-track development. But I never say I’m doing a movie
until I break for lunch the first day. Because it’s such a crapshoot, this industry. Everything’s so fickle and so contingent on so many factors, aside from just an actor. And because it has an actor, and because these films have interested directors, it’s obviously likely that they’ll both get made. But I think it would be more likely that only one of them gets made with me.

That last part is the soup bone quote: “But I think it would be more likely that only one of them gets made with me.”

Reynolds reiterates, though, that he won’t even be making that choice until he’s done with the comedy “The Change-up” and the action thriller “Safe House” with Denzel Washington as his follow-ups to “Green Lantern”.

It’s then that he starts working on either “R.I.P.D.” or “Deadpool”.

That is, unless “Green Lantern 2″ gets in the way first…

The Deadpool Movie Script is Funny, Smart, Ultra Violent, and Will Give you Geek-Gasms

user posted image

That’s all according to the boys over at CinemaBlend, who got their hands on  the latest draft of the movie by writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (of “Zombieland” fame). So what’s the verdict? “Deadpool” is so good, it has the potential to be the R-rated superhero movie version of “The Dark Knight”. That’s your friggin verdict right there, pal.

The review summarizes it up thusly:

QUOTE
What I’m getting at here is that this is a killer script and more than that, it’s a well-thought out story, which fills in every plot hole and solves every problem that could have been encountered with the character. I can’t imagine anyone doing this any better, and it’s a movie which deserves to be made the right way by the right people.

The Deadpool Movie Script is Funny, Smart, Ultra Violent, and Will Give you Geek-Gasms
Comic Book Movie News, Deadpool Movie — By Nix on October 13, 2010 | Share7

That’s all according to the boys over at CinemaBlend, who got their hands on the latest draft of the movie by writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (of “Zombieland” fame). So what’s the verdict? “Deadpool” is so good, it has the potential to be the R-rated superhero movie version of “The Dark Knight”. That’s your friggin verdict right there, pal.

I can’t imagine anyone doing this any better, and it’s a movie which deserves to be made the right way by the right people.

You can read the full review over at Cinemablend.

As good a script as Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have written, it’ll still be up to Ryan Reynolds to keep this thing good. If Reynolds, for whatever reason, decides to walk away from the movie (you know, reasons like the gazillion other movies and franchises he’s probably being offered right now), then I can’t see a “Deadpool” movie getting made, much less staying faithful to this script and the character we’ve come to know and love from the comics.

My favorite part about the script? Its approach to Deadpool’s ridiculously bullshit appearance in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, which goes something like this:

QUOTE
The script never comes right out and mentions Wolverine, it’s all accomplished through one specific subtle reference, which says everything that needs to be said. It’s as though the character of Deadpool exists in a world where Wolverine is a movie that he’s seen, and hates. Deadpool literally throws everything Wolverine did to screw up this character in the trash can, and then spends the rest of the movie endlessly poking fun at the celebrity of Hugh Jackman.

How much do I want to see that in a movie? Very much, folks. Oh so very much.

I like this one... laugh.gif

Robert Rodriguez Out and Adam Berg in as Deadpool Director?

user posted image

The latest news on the movie based on the merc with a mouth has Robert Rodriguez, the fanboy choice for director, once again leaving the project and a new candidate emerging to take his place. His name? Adam Berg.

“Adam Berg? Who the hell is Adam Berg?”

Good question. The LATimes has your answer:

QUOTE
Berg has never directed a feature before, but he gained plenty of acclaim with “Carousel,” a stylish short (you can check it out below) made for Philips Electronics that won the prestigious Cannes Lions International Advertising prize. In a one-take freeze-frame, the short tells of a bank heist in a manner that evokes both “The Town” and “The Dark Knight.

Apparently both the producers of “Deadpool” and the man who would play Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds digs Berg’s work on “Carousel”, which was enough to make him the frontrunner to land the gig.

So what do you think, does the guy who directed the short below have what it takes to direct a “Deadpool” movie?

The above commercial is done by director Adam Berg... and I believe... you probably think "who is Adam Berg"...

Watch the commercial and judge...

300 Rise of the Empire wasn't censored except the sex scenes. They didn't even censor the swear words in 22 Jump Street, so I guess they won't cut THAT much.

Just watched it, i gotta say this is the best comic book movie ever made. It stay true to comic. Its really fun and amusing to watch, interaction with audience is really nice, sooo Deadpool! And the thing i like the most is its rated 18!! Addition of X-Men is really nice, i wish there'll be more X-Men addition in the future, finally Fox get it right, thanks to Reynolds! And of course, cant wait for the sequel!!! CABLE CABLE CABLE! DEADPOOL ROCKS!! brows.gif

Watched the first show in tgv last night
Despite of several over the edge violent/nudity shot gone zoom in to the safety zone, the entire film's flow still very good, no cuts for vulgar words.
Totally enjoyable!

That final scene where Deadpool's mask was taken off to reveal... laugh.gif

I loved all the silly self referential jokes, especially the Professor X one. My only compliant about the movie is that it feels too short. I hope they earn a lot from this movie and make the sequel bigger and with even more X-Men cameos.

So the question is, how much censorship does this movie get? For a movie which has been seen by many, not even one can't comment on this?

No censorship for the curse words. Some violence scene got zoomed to show safe zone. But overall uninterrupted viewing.

You guys should watch it. Non stop laugh from the start. Get ready to laugh as soon as the Marvel logo disappear.

So Fox managed to pull of a really good Deadpool movie.

Their last outing with 'Fantastic Four' was "so-so" (and that's being kind).

With the right cast, decent writing and a great director at the helm, it is possible to make a great flick.

A sequel is already being planned for Deadpool.

A sequel to Fantastic Four (2015) anyone? laugh.gif

Hope to watch Deadpool soon.

Yes, most people have watched them. What's your point? Their opinions are not valid and yours is? smile.gif

I wouldn't say Deadpool is the best, it is one of the best. Captain 2 is already established, the character was prominent in First Avenger and further exploited in Avengers together with the mass casts of other Marvel movies.

Well, there you go. The movie is rated '18'... what are they expecting? Unicorns and rainbows?

I also heard parents wanting to bring kids to see this 'superhero' movie only to be told it is '18'.

What the heck?

Even WITH an 18 rating, we still get the movie (and others too) censored doh.gif

By right '18' = untouched. Even if they do censor a 'PG-13' for some over-the-top scenes that's fine.

The mentality... geesh...

Overall its an ok movie I think but not those movie that needed to be rewatched over and over again. Moreover the budget for the movie is mid-tier. Aside the wise cracking dick jokes and ultra violence here and there...guess it's serviceable. Maybe just a not a big fan of deadpool due to his characterization, a blatant ripped of DC's Lobo/Gold Booster and Blue Beetle. After awhile those juvenile jokes can get pretty tiring without a good story to back it up. I'm more invested in seeing Tim Miller the film director gonna be doing next or perhaps given enough freehand/money to realize his uber gaming cinematics skill on real life filming. To the uninitiated he is the owner of Blur studio that famous for doing Blizzard's game opening. Also do hope with the success of Deadpool...Tim Miller & David Fincher project "The Goon" able to garner a new lease of life.

I actually didn't find it that funny even though I was able to get most of the references. I probably only smiled like 1 or 2 times and thats about it. I was told that you will laugh from start to finish but there was hardly any laughing in the hall.
I don't know.. I guess I've seen and read most of the funny parts online already. I though the flashback parts were really draggy and boring but overall its still a fun watch especially when Colossus and Warhead are around.

The mentality... geesh...
*
They did have unicorns and rainbows. You can see deadpool fapping unicorns horn and ejaculate rainbows at the credit scene 😁

this movie is actually quite refreshing (i get the same vibe as watching AntMan last year).

p/s:- there is literally a rainbow spewing unicorn in the credits ... @TheStar commentary.

Hey guys,

I wanna ask, how much vulgarity is in this movie? I'm OK with violent scenes, but I'm just afraid too much vulgarity will bore me, like Tropic Thunder..

personally think that the censorship on this movie has spoiled the story between wade and Vanessa, their intimacy is important to show their love between each other. by censoring all the lovey dovey scenes, it is just awkward when few minutes down the line they are so into each other... where else for the gore scenes, the zoom in effect made me dizzy ... can't really see what is deadpool doing there ... really BIG wtf ... gonna watch it again on bluray. for full deadpool experience, forget about malaysian cinemas

There were lots of things left out because of budget. I found out that Deadpool was meant to forget his guns in the taxi because the studio didn't have enough money to make a big gun fight scene. That's a good one.

8.5 for me.

a solid adaptation of comic book, might be the best so far..

no explanation on the Weapon-X programme..

hopefully Deadpool wont be an integral part of X-Men moving forward..I am hoping that Deadpool will launch the X-Force..R-Rated with Deadpool, Colossus, Cable, Psylocke...and maybe bring Negasonic into the mix..X-23 or Warpath also not bad..

I think the only scenes removed are sex scenes, but not super noticable unless you're actually expecting them. The ultraviolent parts (triple headshot, human kebab and handcutting) gets an odd zoom in, but you get enough glimpses of those in the trailers already.

TBH those cuts won't impact your enjoyment of the movie that much. It's not like omitting a key scene like that. If you are that eager to call a split second of seeing a head being lobbed off is important... that's your prerogative, not mine. If you deem seeing Ryan Reynold's junk is more important than everything else also that's your thing and not mine. Go watch homeland if you insist to cuci mata with Morena Baccarin's asset.

You do know the meaning of censorship...right!!!What do u expect LPF leaving a hard R movie untouched. Tough luck dude! At least nowadays they zoom away and more tolerant to salty language.
In the context of a fast cut action scene, it won't even detract the flow that much unless you are anal about the 100% representation. If it's a Tarantino or Scorsese movie then it matters to watch the uncut version to get the full story immersion building up to the ultra violence/controversial plotline. Deadpool just a throwaway action movie which I may all totally forgotten comes next week.
Maybe your unicorn and rainbow desire will come true one day!!! Don't give up! biggrin.gif

yea I know and I get it, but in the comic, the pace is set by the readers...

It's a bit more delicate in a movie.

Deadpool (2016)

Great movie.

Lots of haha. Very rude. Very violent.

Ryan Reynolds was born to do this character.

I do have one complain, why did they detached from the X-Men universe (meaning why is Colossus a different actor?)

Go watch this.

It's the same universe after DoFP. The reason why Colossus is 'different', is because the original actor didn't want to come back. Hence which is why they decided to do a much accurate Colossus. He did say McAvoy or Steward, means it is the same universe.

The jokes were too bland for my taste. The only joke that made me lol is when he cracked the sinead o connor thing. That's the first thing I thought when I saw that lady.

I thought the movie was just okay.

The jokes were too bland for my taste. The only joke that made me lol is when he cracked the sinead o connor thing. That's the first thing I thought when I saw that lady.
*
Yeah, same for me. I also thought the movie is great but not over the top phenomenal that people make it to be. I watch it twice, but still didn't think so highly of this movie. The 2nd time watch it in Singapore just watch whatever that has been cut here in Malaysia. I know the cut part didn't have that much influence on the story but feels annoyed a little on the zoom part although I didn't like gory scene but I felt that I just had to watch it.

Most of my favorite reviewer on youtube gave all heaps of praise like this is some movie of the year type and got another even compare it to Mad Max last year which I find it full of bollocks. Yeah, I also find all the jokes and references are funny but not to the point hilarious. I'm having a good time with this movie and that was it. I think this type of jokes and banter more suited to westerner that's why it such a hit there.

Lol comparing this to mad max is just plain stupid. Last year's Mad max was almost a masterpiece for me. I would actually prefer ant man than this. But then again, the movie is fun overall.

I personally loved this movie. It got the characters, the action, etc all just right. It is faithful and respectful to the comic and still presented a compelling and entertaining movie.

Granted it isn't perfect with some flaws, but as the "bad parent" Liam Neeson used to say in another movie, "I love it when a plan comes together." And in this movie, it came together quite well.

Deadpool (2016) (Addendum)

I am going to make a very unpopular observation here...

As entertaining as this movie was the first time round, it does not amuse as much second time round.

With is breaking the fourth wall, humor and nudity, they don't register as well the first time round.

Maybe it is me.

Just another two sen.

I am dumbfounded a little.

Help me in making sense.

1. Wade died in #TheWolverine correct?

How the heck is he still alive in #Deadpool?

2. Since when Colossal is a Russian?

Well, finally watched it as it is available now laugh.gif

Brilliantly executed, loved the comic humor and the overall tone of the movie; grotesque violence and insanity with comic relief thrown all over.

I honestly have no idea how many cuts were made in the Malaysian release, but from what I can tell, there would have been massive cuts!

Lucky I skipped watching it in local cinemas.

The movie though, does feel a bit low-budgety compared to say the X-Men films or other recent Marvel flicks.

Even so, the movie holds itself really well.

Poking fun at everything from the actor himself to Wolverine to the production (Xavier's school but only two of them biggrin.gif ), a sequel with Cable should see more of everything that made this great.

Who knows, there might be an actual cameo/tie-in with X-Men.

Fox should be super confident now of doing such a thing.

Wade did died(or didnt died) in X-Men Wolverine. But, Wolverine has reset the XMen movie timeline in XMen:Day of Future Past ending, causing everyone who dead in X2&X3movie, including in XMen Wolverine to brought back to life.

I watched the cartoon way back old time ago. Yes, Collosus is a Russion. In the cartoon, it is Wolverine and Jubilee found Collosus in Russia's deep forest.

yap, the current timeline consist of first class, days of future past and half of wolverine origins before weapon x.

other than that, never happened/or will happen differently.

Iliyana 'Magik' will be in the 'New Mutant' movie along with Arya Stark as Wolfsbane.

after watching this movie this is my opinion.

~Positive
1)the jokes
2)X-men references
3)i like action scene
4)love the breaking 4th wall moment
5)better than any origin x-men movie (X-men:Wolverine/ 1st Class)

~Negative
1)love relationship between deadpool with his gf didn't feel or look real, kinda fake to me.
2)R rated can still be good even they didn't make LGBT reference. that turn off for me when deadpool said he okey to do LGBT thing
3)The story keep doing flashback although its okey at first because they want to tell us about before he become deadpool but after they keep doing it make me bored. the reason why i bored because i still remember when i watch Rurouni Kenshin 3rd movie they keep doing flash back thing.
4)story kinda so so. look at imdb rating so high then watching this movie i still think rating is too high for this kind of story. should around 7
5)lack of X-MEN character here. should put atleast prof xavier voice talking or school full with superhero kids.

There's another version of the trailer. A shorter one without Stan Lee, he didn't answer the phone and the music playing when he got out of the phone booth is still the Superman theme. The dialog at the end is also a bit different... I think. But I like the Stan Lee one better.

Just saw an early screening and the movie is good, better than the first.

However... the trailers are quite misleading on the X-Force tongue.gif

People are saying its better than the first one in every way and it also has the best end credit scenes ever. Couldn't agree more. Been a while since I had such a good laugh.

Watched Deadpool 2 yesterday and unlike most opinions, I am definitely not impressed with Deadpool 2.

Why is he TALKING WAY LESS to the audiences ?

The actions are still good, but I watch Deadpool for ADULT JOKES first followed by Actions

It's what makes Deadpool different than any other superheroes action movies

Just saw Deadpool 2 today. No post end credit scene but there are 3-4 mid credit scenes. Once credit with black background scene start to roll, no more scene after that so you no need to wait very end unless you want to hear the very final song. biggrin.gif

Watched it last night.

1) yes. pictorial censorship i believe there are. but words censorship none. which mean u still listen to the curse words.

2) personally i felt this movie is bored to death and below my expectation. too draggy and unecessary scene just to fill up the gap. In term of comedy, nonsense comedy. i dont feel entertain.

All i can say, if u have watch avengers infinite war, u may want to skip this movie. despite how suck avengers movie at least the CGI is nice.

It's bloody hilarious but I fear that the humor may go unnoticed by some because there is so much detail and everything goes at lightning speed.

There is also a huge amount of "mou lei tau" humor which might not go down well with a lot of people. Especially people who demand serious type shows.

But if you love humor of all types and sizes, including stephen chow style "mou lei tau" humor, then Deadpool 2 is for you. I loved it personally, but then again I love stephen chow movies.

I wonder if this Yukio is the same Yukio from The Wolverine. Since Days of Future past happened after The Wolverine, it could be her personality or history changed. Her hair is pink which is a softer color of red anyways.

Watched it, a lot better than expected, and in some ways BETTER than the first! biggrin.gif But on a whole, pretty much even between DP1 and DP2.

Love how they didn't bring in too many villains or that the story is NOT as it was in the trailer LMAO...

'Cable' - - you got to give props to Josh Brolin, he played a menacing soldier and the fight sequences were a blast what with all the dubstep in the background tongue.gif

Some characters sorely lacked screentime like Negasonic.

An absolute blast from start to finish, and the gore/brutality are all out in glory especially the sauna scene.

Loved the cameos... totally shocked by their few seconds appearance (I thought it was archive footage but no) laugh.gif

The bit with Wolverine was also good albeit from Origins.

The pop-culture references, Ryan Reynolds - - Green Lantern oh my... Baby Hitler!!

While not exactly a 'must-watch', it is heaps of fun. This is a 'hard R', no doubt, just like the first film.

Guys, whoever watched the theatrical release should give the unrated version another shot. Trust me it's much more better. Its almost like DP2 parodies BvS for the Ultimate edition release. So many additional cutscene, so many changes of line, its almost like another movie. You can tell how much Fox refrained (even not counting Malaysia censorship)

Its like
Theatrical Release=Parental Guidance with censorship album
Retail release=Uncensored Explicit rap album

Watch it! It's so much better and it feel complete!

Was really glad did not watch this at the cinema. Overall this sequel felt amateurish and the jokes fall short. It's rapid firing quips that gets tedious very quickly. The storyline is a rojak mess that doesn't lead to anything meaningful. Got the impression they are retrofitting Evan Sabahnur story arc to the Firefist character but the stake and impact here just freaking lazy lameduck writing. The biggest gripe how they downplay the importance of Cable to just a paper thinned character from the future. The only noteworthy thing is Zazie Beets as Domino. Got show her armpit hair some more....sexay....lol....

Sigh~

No more Deadpool movie after Disney aquisition from Fox.

Disney and Marvel MCU currently promoting SJW in their movies. So expecting Deadpool will be replaced by Gwenpool to promote feminism and woman's right.

Urrmmm....errrmmmm....Gwenpool is not exactly the female version of Deadpool. She started out as Spider-gwen reimagined as Deadpool in a pin-up page. She is more along the line of Howard the Duck, Squirrel Girl...of whacky nature that echoes Saturday-morning Cartoon type of storylines. She is not even a mutant but a plain human that has no relation with X-Men or Spider-verse. Technically Disney don't even need Fox or Sony licensing rights to make a movie about her. There is an actual Lady Deadpool in existence...

http://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/disney-...th-century-fox/
You will more likely looking at PG13 "no balls" Deadpool instead of female version of him.

Deadpool is one of the best superhero movies ever made if you can call it that. I was so excited for the sequel but Deadpool 2 was not upto the standards of the first part. I hope that they won't make another movie. There should be spin-off. What do you think?

To be honest, I did not ever expect Hugh Jackman to reprise his role as Wolverine but here he is.

"Logan" had an absolute finite ending but I think he just couldn't let the opportunity slide by which is great for both Deadpool and Wolverine fans alike. It's going to be hilarious!
