Lately, most VGA devices from HTC is 2.8" which is too small for my tasted. From the size comparable it looks bigger than HTC Touch, not thick as Touch Pro and widescreen aspect.
Now they learn the matter of screen size like Omnia and iPhones. This is serious contender over Omnia (Wide QVGA), Touch HD double the images quality. who say WVGA has poor support  |

So can we safely assume this new product out to go head to head with Iphone 3G/Omnia? But then again Omnia surely cannot fight this baby. PDA with such a huge screen....surely a joy to use. Price wise...probably RM3500??

yea, but whats the point if got geng camera but cannot game AT ALL! like so so so many games cannot play. sigh. it beats the purpose of having a pdaphone with such a nice processor!

agree with Baronic.. anyway, this is very big.. looks like my old HP iPAQ 6500 series.. however running Garmin MXT on this will be superb .. big screen to navigate!!
i guess there's no need for the QWERTY keyboard as the touch-screen keyboard is big enuff for our big thumbs  i hope this is a potrait/landscape auto-rotate like Omnia |

i think the nice processor is meant to make the interface smoother?have you tried simple games using accelerometer on iphone? they are way very fun too. i hope similiar will be available on HTC. |

Hope that HTC can improve abit on the battery life compare to the HTC Touch lastime I used. Thought getting the HTC Daimond but now it seems they are coming out HTC Touch HD, I think I'll wait for this PDA. Prefer HTC homecreen compare to Omnia. No flash on a 5mp camera is a shame. Hope we can voice more out then HTC team can see and add a LED flash. Better then nothing.

Nos of bloggers mentioned that HTC will come up with few new models within the next six months or so. HTC HD is among of the 'new' models to be introdude. Simply means if you got money now...dont just go and buy TP (unless u really have to) coz you never know when newer and better models should arrive at LYP (from HTC).

hmm, new PDA season again.. seem like every two month will got new batch..
IT really a great spec, but the 5MP also just normal optyical zoom, izzit? IF like that then mean useless la, just can have high quality picture but not really can get a far picture...memory card can support how many picture if using 5MP resolution? problem, isn't? |

it is very obvious that the phone cannot last very long with the capacity of the battery plus the resolution will even drain the battery even faster...
the oni thing that impress me is the large touchscreen and nice interface... still prefer Omnia.... |

Maybe the Touch HD quite impressive but i think HTC tried too hard to kill the Iphone. Not that im complaining - just that too many devices from HTC lately. Better stick to my TP for at least another 6 months. PDA expert LYP guys are aware of this HD ....maybe its due for Xmas time?

TD just might drop price to RM2599?? from official RM2799. Direct conversion from UK pouund put the HD at RM32++ so SIS might sells it at RM3499??

it depend the shop got charge you interest or not for installment, if got ofcoz not worth it to pay, by right they cant charge customer interest... is the bank charge them not their buyer .. but of coz if they dont charge their customer they will rugi ... some shop very tricky hahaha actually have but they didnt tell you ... when you ask them they will say ... there is some charges for installment ... of coz you need to bargain with them la ... until they give 0% interest free for installment

if Android kills the other OS, it wont be now. at least 2-3 years with the third party application and software market more developed. and even then, it would mean abandoning the windows platform with all its perks (and flaws lol). And frankly, i for one am not keen on abandoning this windows platform. unless android comes up with some windows emu to play my games, or some kick ass games of its own hahaha

i dun understand why you all must comment negatively on the price set.. if you cant afford then dun buy and save more. besides, they didnt put a gun on the head and ask u to buy once it was launched. you can buy when it dropped price or so on.

i am am i? Huhu.. I've been studying this phone all across the world..(through internet la) Its really amazing how you can get so much info just sitting alone in your office (without doing your supposed job actually)..
Previously I was studying the TD and TP. I was more inclined towards TD, then TP came out.. so my lust went for TP..NOW!! This freaking HD came out and stopped my wants for TP.  .... I am in love with HD now ..  .. If this HD came out in this near time, I hope HTC will not try to launch another amazing phone that beats my wants towards HD. Please HTC. Dun do this to me.. |

RM3499 is much more expensive than a good laptop.... Hurm... HTC is killing us slowly i think. Putting lots of stress to choose between its products.... (STRESS IS NOT GOOD FOR HEALTH)
By the time they launches a new product, they put higher price. Then me as buyer (addict to be precise) will wait for it to drop price. By the time the price is almost affordable to me, they launch another new product. Making me CRAZY IN LOVE with the new product. So until now, I did not get any.. HTC..This is a bad strategy. hehe... My Experience: 1) Wanted to get Tytn II and suddenly.. 2) TD came out and crazy for it (waited to drop price) and suddenly 3) TP came out and crazy for it pulak (waited to drop price) and suddenly (again) 4) HD almost came out (Pening MA!) I think i shud see a psychiatrist regarding this.. |

Come onlah..get real. Touch Pro already RM3099 SSRP. What makes you think Touch HD with higher specs would be less than RM3K? Larger screen means its more expensive not to mention better camera etc etc etc. I never complaint about pricing coz i know HTC product are good. If u cannot afford hi-prices of HTC devices - dont buy HTC. Or the least wait for 8-10 months so that u can get a good bargain. For me im saving money so that i can get the latest gadgets as soon as they out in the market. I do hope it would be less than RM3499 though....RM3299 seems to be a fair price.

True enough, the 5800 isn't game enough in terms of features compared to a true Windows Mobile device. The 5800 is only the start of things and an indication of many more matured models to come.

its not really THAT bad looking ma. its just not as pretty as other HTC or devices in the market now. just the buttons and jogdial thingy at the centre makes it ugly.

If you love keypad than onscreen text messaging that should be okay,

Actually HTC Diamond variation DOES still does have driver problem especially for 2d and video accelerator, ....by anatomic'lly I think its share similar system.. but who know this time they come with better driver support ...

If M'sia price is RM3399, then maybe should consider buy it in S'pore. Official price is S$1388 (RM3272) inclusive 7% tax. So, if you happen to fly to S'pore, you can cut another 7% from the price!
Of course, if not urgent, better wait lar! Sure it'll drop to a more affordable price someday... |

By the way.. does anyone know about HD battery performance? I mean.. is it better than TP or the same? i do not know how to differentiate...what i know is.. using gps will drain the battery life.. hehe.. learned that lesson when i used Nokia Navigator previously.. (before it got stolen ) |

By the way, can any one share about the 'downs' of HD? We do discuss a lot about the Ups of HD.. For example...I played with my fren's TP and guess what.. I noticed that the speaker makes unsatisfied sounds and music. Making user sumtimes hard to notice an incoming call or alarm.. Especially when leaving the TP in rooms or laying at the living room.. Touch HD is not in M'sia yet. So, of course nobody can tells whats "downs" about it.
However, other places already got Touch HD. Omnia is just a phailed for me... ugly look, stupid spec.. i heard alot ppl complaining laggy...
SE X1 is more better from look and the keyboard... interface not bad too.. dont worry guys, HD can install X1 interface.. |
