Wimax technology is here in Malaysia but sadly the implementation is not that convincing.. the price also.. so the arrival of that wimax chocolate bar Well...I am kinda confuse.. if it has wimax.. can it connect still with normal wifi? wait.. i'm gonna google and study about wimax in a while... |

As we can see, this phone runs on IEEE 802.16e (2.5 ~ 2.7 GHz). Which is Mobile WiMAX on 2.5-2.7 GHz frequency band and no operator in Malaysia is allowed to operate on that frequency. So you can buy one but never be able to connect to the WiMAX service provider cause they run at 2.3 GHz Sorry for the disappointment. |

QUOTE(maxtek @ Nov 21 2008, 04:48 PM) Actually frequency makes a lot of difference. Thats why one should be careful when buying a 3G/HSDPA phone from overseas. One may come to Malaysia and say well i have a 3G phone but sadly he wont be able to connect to the 3G service providers.A word of advise for those who are not aware. |
