I might be getting one too, I dont noe.. just prefer a virtual keypad since my keyboard mulfunctioned but i still adore qwertys

i used to prefer qwertys until i met the iphone..i had the zinc before too...i realised me nvr slide it out much to user the keypad..

wondering, can i install all software into this HD?.. since most of the app and games made for certain screen resolution only...

yea, that issue has been discussed also. WQVGA is bad enuf. WVGA? i believe u'll have several compatibility issues here.

me perfectly fine with the preloaded the s/w

1) most stuff are made for QVGA. however, most of them are forced VGA capable, meaning when installed in VGA screen, it will be enlarged and fit to screen, and maybe look a bit blurry. But there are programs who dont work that way.

2) now with WVGA, not only must the QVGA programs be forced VGA, but forced WVGA! these programs are usually old and created when WVGA was not yet invented or heard of. Will it be able to made to fit the screen?

3) if it cannot be made to fit the screen, will HTC Touch HD be able to at least make force VGA it, and the remaining space be blacked out so that the program can run properly?

4) no hardware buttons: u cant play several games, due to the fact they need hardware buttons, Touch HD's buttons are useless gaming wise

at first i was thinking this HD will be good for watching movie [ big screen ], then came second thought.....most current pda movie converter only able to convert to support max to vga screen...

good question. i believe the player will stretch it though. lol, everyone will look fatter?

everyone will look fatter...maybe...LOL.... or maybe irritating black screen at the side. and also no keypad to rewind/fast forward and to adjust volume...

i dun think so. it should probably play when the device is tilted 90 degrees. so it'll be like as u watch movies on a wide screen tv. it will stretch the video sideways and everyone will probably seem a lil bit fatter. i personally dun mind but people like my dad will be like, wtf, resize video make it square. in which case i would scold him for buying a wide screen tv in the first place. same applies here
