I was just about to buy 1gb hd 4870 tomorrow

i heard the card overheats a LOT

any advice on this ?

Or should i just get Asus GTX 260 which is slower but quiet n cool

(Actuallu wanna buy gtx 260 core216 but out of stock )


I have a major problem here

EVERY FEW SECONDs the screen will BLINK

anyone here can suggest what happened ?

Motherboard Asus M2N

2 GB RAM

Power SUpply Corsair HX520

GPU Powercolor 1GB 4870 with PCS

Monitor is Viewsonic 19" LCD


It doesnt always happen (the blinking) but its still there every few minutes and is reallly annoying

I noticed that it doesnt happen when i play games.

And also ive been touching the card alot.

All pros out there please solve this mystery before my 7-days factory warranty ends!
