xigmatek got btw, i'm using elite 331 casing, and i plan to do sli soon. the problem is, 8800GT cards are quite long, and might be clashing with the hard disk cables. now to accomodate my current card i already have to move my 2 hdds to the 2nd and 3rd hdd bays. once i add in another gc it will be quite packed already. so what do you guys suggest? is it possible move my hdds up to the cdrom bays by getting the cm 4in3 module? or get a bigger casing straight away?

for those using cm690, all the fans that you guys are using are connected to the mobo fan header and molex power? or you have a seperate fan controller to control? true also, cm590 does look a bit too squarish..cm590 hdd bays are facing front while cm690 facing sideways rite? sideways easier for removal and cable management? and yeah, i heard cm590 also doesnt have reset button.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(cyew86 @ Jan 29 2009, 05:25 PM) [attachmentid=781584] as per pic, any suggestion on how to make my cable management better? that's the best i could do. can't seem to route the cables to the back of the motherboard [attachmentid=781587] as shown, only have a Xigmatek XLF fan to light up the rig, planning to install a pair of AC Ryan Blue CCFL after CNY, but i am afraid that the upper part of the casing could not fit a 30cm CCFL. any Elite 330 user has any experience in this? [attachmentid=781590] a 90CFM fan at front panel, regret installing it, wasted my money, make my rig as loud as tornado and the blue LED not that apparent elite series quite hard to do cable management, i'm also having some problems with my elite 331. the placement of the atx power connector on your motherboard makes it even harder. mine i just stuff everything at the back, behind the 5.25 drive bays. then i tie the cables to the drive bays to minimize cacings maybe soon gonna wrap them with uv spiral wraps to make the cacings look nicer i don't think the top is able to fit the 30cm ccfl. unless you put it slightly diagonally. coz got the drive bays blocking. i put mine one at the bottom, and another tied to the back of the 5.25 drive bay, which is slightly to the left of the motherboard position.

i use wires to tie my ccfl to the 5.25 drive bay. still quite visible for me though. hard to explain. will take some pics when i get back to hostel next week. the adhesive tape that comes with my ccfl is lousy, stick for some time then come out already. yeah the plastisine-like tact should do fine.

nope, normal ccfl and uv ccfl is different from each other. for uv effect get the uv ccfl. but it won't be as bright as the normal ccfl.

i would like to have a cmm690 too. but cm690 is bigger and heavier than elite casings. and now with my already heavy casing, i dunno how if i were to carry the cm690 back to my hometown every term break i also have a 120mm fan at the optical bay there, i tie the sides of the fan to the bays using wires, so it won't move. i don't have much cables hidden inside my dirve bay, so it isn't really a problem for me

QUOTE(Koki @ Jan 30 2009, 09:52 PM) is getting the CM 690 from PC Depot for $290 worth the bucks? maybe they give extra fan?? maybe you can go ask around first, who knows you can find a better deal. if there's no other choice then i guess you can go for pcdepot. but RM290 is still quite expensive.

IMHO no need to get nvidia edition leh...just endorsement from the brand only. everything the same, just green transparent window and green lines around the casing only and for that you have to pay rm150 extra

QUOTE(Koki @ Jan 31 2009, 11:37 PM) why dont go face to face to sri computer? what's with that shop?? sri computer, i never buy anything from them, unless i'm forced to. i don't like the staff there, the face like want to eat you only. ask them anything and they'll answer as if you're asking them to do something impossible like that. good luck then in nego-ing your cm690 at pcdepot.
