some laptops are like that, due to the grouding problem? the adaptor is 2 pin or 3 pin (not the one connect to the power socket, the one connect to from your laptop to the brick)?

if i would wanna take a guess... you have left out the network apn, password etc empty or deliberately misspell it to avoid being charged data fees.

hmm do you mean iphone won't work without setting the APN to restriction free? hmm.gif

er... where is this APN thingy?

data fees no need charge? im paying for unlimited data usage wor

APN (if i'm not wrong) is kind of like a admin control of network accessing.

by restricting network access in APN control, the phone will not even connect to GPRS, let alone EDGE/3G.

and i believe this is not phone level control, sim card's PIN2 is require to access to the controls, at least nokia phone does.

er/... so wat his it got to do with my sim locked?

oh your sim locked? is it PIN2 locked? you need PUK2 i guess, to access to the APN controls. you enter PIN2 more than 3 times error izzit... sweat.gif

contact your telco for the PUK2. smile.gif
