Guys ... What is the feedback for below models?

Pioneer 6050UB

I heard both HU was made in china, is it true the quality on material + sound almost the same?

Even the price is about the same as well ...

But I always set Eclipse better than Pioneer ... even I'm a existing Pioneer user.

Please give your comment on both HU ... thanks.

How's the feedback on pioneer 6050UB?

I saw a new model in Singapore pioneer site ... is 7xxx series with BT.

Haven't got my hands on 6050UB yet, can't really comment much about it. But its EQ tuning seem very good with 7 band for fine tuning.

For 7050BT, not much difference than 6050UB than just adding Bluetooth capability.

u will haf no regrets on an eclipse head unit.. better for future upgrade..

pioneer is good wif those high end onez... eclipse gives u high end feel wif moderate pricing..

i would say it can "ta pao" alpine, pioneer, clarion, panasonic and others for those mid range pricing..

How about the quality?

Is it lasting like Pioneer ?

pioneer is juz a branding... i wouldn't say pioneer's quality is good either... btw, ur "lasting" means how many years?

if u say sound quality and features, pioneer comes no where near within that particular price range..

about the unit quality, so far never heard of any problematic units... i would say it depends on the user himself... eg, portholes.. a fast speed over the hump, CDs tat has the skin peeled off, some say too much of cheap CDs... may decrease the life for the player..

I think CD3100 do have pre-out for front & sub .... as my current HU is DEH 5550MP

haf u check the specs between the 2 units u r getting?

wat i like about eclipse is that they haf 3 pairs of RCA output...

then they haf this 5V pre-out.. i blif that most pioneers' which is less than 8xxx series, onli has 2.5V.. and some onli has 2 pairs of RCA output.. (if u need more info on the V output, do some readings @ wiki)

btw, 3200 is better looking and has more features... but not sure the price tag is which range lar...

For your information as regard to Pioneer 2008 model.

Only DEH 3050UB below uses 2v preout where else DEH 4050UB, DEH 5050UB and DEH 6050UB consist 3 RCA preout with 4V output.

price different very much from pioneer and eclipse?

Judging from Automotive Garage Sales,

Not much difference in price gap. But that depends on HU meant for low end or medium or high end.

DEH-6050UB - is 2008 model so the price tag expected to be higher, however some forum sell it at RM800.

As for Eclipse CD3100 is 2007 products so the price sure competitive with pioneer.

So the result is the buyer wanted which products ...

Added on September 10, 2008, 9:18 amI have 2 amp (1 = front comp & 1 = sub), so I need to have 2 preout.

The old pioneer is running on 2V if have 4V that will adding more kick to my amp to get better result.

I think let me do more study on DEH-6050UB instead ...

Anyone use 6050UB .... need your feedback ...

interesting comparison.. i am considering to replace my 7930E for a unit with USB. DEH-6050UB caught my interest.. notice kenwood HUs are cheap with many features..

anymore comment on HU guys?

Kenwood used to have bad branding + material, but the current series I have no idea ...

happy owner of DEH6050 here, totally worth the price, 3 preouts and lots of other functions. Even has build in HPF/LPF and lots of other tweaking, not much need for a crossover already haha.

Got mine too from yohannes. User friendly menu and easy tuning. finally able to power my pcc6 via amp instead of HU built in amp. Lots of tweaking, need time to get it done.
