I'm interested in getting this laptop. Any ideas about the latest prices and availability in Penang?

I saw CQ40 at a laptop and digital camera fair in Gurney Plaza, Penang by House of Notebooks. The promoter said the 133AX priced at RM 2099 was on offer for two days only. Isn't RM 2099 the actual retail price?

Is the offer for 134AX with free 160 GB external hard drive, headset, 4GB pendrive still ongoing? There seems to be only a few models of CQ40 on the HP online store. Which shops in Penang have 134AX? Previously there was a laptop camera fair in Gurney Plaza. The promoter from House of Notebooks said that 133AX was on offer at RM2099 for two days only when RM2099 is the retail price. Am in doubt about buying from them now.

Just ordered the 402AX! Been waiting since the beginning of the year for 134AX in Penang and it was always unavailable in shops and resellers.

Does anyone have the 401AX/402AX already? Ordered mine last Sunday and it says shipping takes 14 days.

I received my 402AX on Friday. Ordered it on 22 March from the HP site because I couldn't wait for it to be available in shops in Penang. The day after I received it, I saw 402AX being sold in a shop with freebies included.
Does the Folding@Home GPU client work with Radeon 3450 mobile? I got the error message 'At present your GPU is not supported or you need a current driver.' |

What's the CPU usage when playing H264 videos with hardware acceleration enabled? The CPU usage is 70 - 80% for me on 402AX when playing videos. I followed this guide: http://nunnally.ahmygoddess.net/watching-h...eos-using-dxva/ I don't think I used the right settings.

QUOTE(dattebayo @ Apr 19 2009, 04:08 PM) that link is too complicated, I just followed the instructions here, http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/DXVASupport.html I tried that one at first but it didn't work so I tried the guide at the link I posted. Could the problem be with my Catalyst driver?playing back Rambo 4 1080p just use about 10% of CPU time, using MPC HC. one thing u need to be sure of is to avoid VobSub/FFmpeg from loading during the playback, either disable them, or uninstall them. QUOTE Warning for ATI users : VC1 acceleration is broken in 8.6 release (green frames appears randomly during playback). If you experiments such trouble, please revert to 8.5 build. |
