WHY it wil still run at DDR2 667 even though both SODIMM are DDR2 800??
cant runs at 800mhz??

i've checked, my 401AX has 3gb [1+2gb] DDR2 800 but only running at 667, how to set to runs at ddr2 800???

i hv a situation here, after i install 2 sticks of 2gb kingston ddr2 800, but still the CPUZ not showing the ram runs at dual channel..

p.s: mine is 401AX

better install vista straight away, its hard to install XP, u need to get a sata ready XP, and other XP driver for ur lappy..

wonder which software you guys used in monitoring the CPU temp.
i only manage to get Everest showing the CPU & GPU temp..

mine is AMD Turion X2 RM-74 + ATi HD3450

i have CQ40 401AX, with ATi HD3450 512mb but i don't have L4D..

dun think it's a ori vista..

im using 401 AX as well, no problem in installing 32bit vista or XP

if u wanna get 401AX and upgrade to 3ggb ram, it's not advisable..
the ori 1gb ram that comes with the laptop is althought PC2-6400 800mhz but its CL6, if add on another 2gb, [ie kingston pc2-6400 800 mhz, yet CL5, in my case,] the ram will only runs in 667mhz and not 800mhz, do beware of this..
i suggest to go for 4gb if u have budget, if no then upgrade to 1 stick 2gb PC2-6400 800mhz CL5 1st then upgrade again later..

1. if u wanna upgrade, then get the same samsung ddr2 800 CL6, if u get other brand that's running ddr2 800 CL5 then it will runs at 667 and not 800

2. u can't tell the difference between CL5 and CL6 unless running banchmark to see the number.
cl5 is slightly faster than CL6, then main point is 800mhz VS 667mhz..

dun use kaspersky internet security 2009.

any idea/ program to control the fan speed??

i've install the latest SpeedFan as well but can control the fan speed at all..

when i play CS:CZ with my 401AX, it will freeze for ~5sec after start the game for 1 min [i think it's when the temp goes up dramatically]
but after that, the games goes smoothly, nvr hang or lag..
