127TX is a lot more expensive than 133AX and 125AX. If you have a tight budget and you want a good gaming laptop, 125AX and 133AX are good choies, but do take note of the heat and also the battery life. AMD overall has a poorer battery life and hotter than Intel processor. That Penryn should be 25W only, if I am not mistaken. So basically 127TX is the best pick but of course the price are about the same. For 9200M GS, i think the performance is about on par with HD3450, if not, better. So, it all depends on your budget... smile.gif  I am getting a 125AX though.. 100Mhz extra and 70gb more for hdd for an extra RM 100 doesn't really attract me... tongue.gif
*
the price is ok for me since i have the budget...my concern is that some review from other website was saying Nvidia gfx 8k & 9k series r having defects.... and the performance on ATI HD3450 is better than Nvidia 9200MGS and this 9200 is sucking alot of battery life which will not last long hmm.gif . i'm not sure whether all this news is true or not..... hope u all here can advice me on this notworthy.gif

Sounds like a dead pixel. IIRC someone in this thread had the same problem and HP service centre at Bukit Damansara replaced the laptop for him. Or was it just the screen... can't remember. Better go there fast. Make sure that it's really a dead pixel.

just sent it back to HP damansara service center wit ur receipt. i got a CQ20 last month and a faulty LCD which the LCD light will turn off adhoc. they replace box to box. biggrin.gif

got a cq40-125ax free dos on pc fair as well on sat..... come back discover the lcd cover got few hair line scratches .. bloody hell ppl... i think they must have upgrade the free 1gb ram for me accidently creating those scratches... anyway...this model is a good buy.... RM1849 package with free 1gb (total 2gb ram), HP headset with Pendrive Envo 4gb dumbdrive with antivirus 1 year license, cooler pad, mouse. thumbup.gif

Pls google RAMDisk
Hmm.. i pretty sure there is no infrared. Which model u are using?
*
mine cq40-125ax got CIR as well...... my windows vista automatic detect it and give me a solution to download the driver.

i'm pretty satisfied wit Vista Ultimate 64bit sp1 compare to XP pro 64bit sp2. i found out the vista is pretty much stable and smooth than XP.
it's vista 64bit .....32bit kinda suck blush.gif

aiks, thread now back to original section.

CPU-Z will not show dual channel mode.

As long as you have the RAM stick with same capacity and running at same speed u will get dual channel.

The easiest way to test is by using Everest.

You guys can refer to first post. I have RAM testing results there.
*
bro... i can't get the Everest software, found it but need to pay license for using it sweat.gif is there any free version link to be downloaded?

i've use AMD Overdrive and it only showing me single channel no matter i use 2x2gb 667 & 2x1gb 800 also give me the same single channel result.

windows rating for 2x1gb 800/3gb / 2x2gb 667 also same rating....no changes rclxub.gif

HELP!!! HELP

I am the CQ40-133AX owner...
I don't know what the hell is wrong with hp...why do they want to make it hard for freeDOS buyer...

I have installed windows Vista ultimate 32bit

but right now, after installing all the driver, the the latest ATI catalyst driver cannot recognize my graphics (ATI radeon HD3450)

I have even try to modified the driver with mobility modder but that didn't solve my problem either..

the same goes for the webcam...where the hell is the driver???

what should i do???

is there any other way???
*
bro...just download the ATI driver from ati site.....then install/extract it to a path.
update ur gfx driver manually by selecting the ATI drivers path that u have extract/install just now
search for it and then there will be a whole list of gfx driver model....choose ATI Radeon 3450
apply and restart....ur pc

for my case in vista it's already preinstall automatic and detect as HP webcam 101. go to ur device manager and take a look there...it should be installed
