there is a possibility that the new 133/134AX uses a newer seagate HDD caz momentus 5400.4 does not come in 320GB.

i have question regarding amd fusion. i have read this page, at the 7th FAQ,(hardware n software requirement) it state that "ATI Catalyst Control Center 8.6 with AMD OverDrive works with: ATI Radeon™ HD 3600 series graphic cards or better." So this laptop is only 3400 series, will installing amd fusion will do any good?

weird. i'm playing sins of a solar empire smoothly. maybe it is just a bad game.

after reading through Momentus 5400.4 and 5400.5 datasheets, i found out that both of them are almost identical. the momentus 5400.5 is just designed to support 320GB both has 8MB cache, QuietStep, Ramp load, same power consumption. those are the significant things of the HDD. the only difference is that 5400.5 has higher resistants to shock, 1000G... the major improvement is in Momentus 5400.6 which has G Protection(a shock protection system) found in most very high end notebooks buy IBM n Fujitsu. 5400.6 is significantly more expensive.

BTW my friend is looking for a new laptop and I am recommending the 126AX. But he wants to wait for PC Fair. Will there be other extra promotions for this laptop you think?

ask him go get from the hp store outside lowyat... 134AX is better and same price. ask for free optical mouse and hp backpack upgrade also. also upgrade to 4GB DDR2 800MHz rams. highly recommended to get the hp backpack... its good quality and cheaper than buying a notebook bag from retail.

I would have be in regret if I bought my 125AX only last month. To see a newer, better-spec model released the following month (with the SAME price) right after your purchase is really a kick in the teeth.
Oh well... that's how gadgeting works.

HP have poor heat ventilation for their laptop.

Well, you can damage the laptop or hope that it fails and then ask your reseller or HP to change to 133AX

Honestly, that 100mhz difference wont bring any difference in real life because same cache size. Max performance difference will be 5% That extra 70GB of HDD space sounds cool but if I have cash I will upgrade to 7200rpm drive. Faster CPU means less battery life to this model which battery life already poor.

That is quite dangerous. I admit that ventilation is poor but I wouldnt keep my laptop at that temp for more than 5 mins.

You can still order the 125AX from HP, but that's not a wise thing to do since the newer 133/134AX is already out.
They might as well remove the 125/26AX from their online store.

Sometimes 'better' isn't necessarily better if you consider the traffic, the time it takes to get there, the heat, etc. If by 'better' it means getting an additional stick of 1GB DDR2 667 ram I might as well get it from lowyat.

There are many variables to consider.

Personally I don't think it will get any better than HP's previous (or still ongoing?) promotion, RM2099 with a WD Passport 2"5 160GB. a non-cap ayam headset, and a 4GB thumb drive. The Passport alone is worth about RM220.

ya ya.. i just hope for the external hard disk and pendrive.. those cap ayam headset.. forget about it....
