Brand new notebook need to be sent to service centre? Thats bad! I might need to rethink my option here.

I think its a good choice but hearing issues with their brand new notebook, especially the one that do not come with Windows (coz you can't give it a try on the spot) makes me think twice. I don't want to keep sending it back to service centre over and over again.

Guys need your expertise here, could u help me out on this choosing 3 models interms of

1. Heat(which 1 more cooler)
2. Battery Life (which 1 better last longer)
3. Gaming ( 9200M GS or HD3450 )
4. Performance (which processor is faster)

-P8400 2.0Ghz
-Nvidia GF 9200M GS 256mb

CQ40 -133AX
-RM72 2.1Ghz
-ATI HD3450 256mb

CQ40-125AX
-RM70 2.0Ghz 256mb
-ATI HD3450

emm.... u mean overall everything out beat the AMD model?

127TX is a lot more expensive than 133AX and 125AX. If you have a tight budget and you want a good gaming laptop, 125AX and 133AX are good choies, but do take note of the heat and also the battery life. AMD overall has a poorer battery life and hotter than Intel processor. That Penryn should be 25W only, if I am not mistaken. So basically 127TX is the best pick but of course the price are about the same. For 9200M GS, i think the performance is about on par with HD3450, if not, better. So, it all depends on your budget...   I am getting a 125AX though.. 100Mhz extra and 70gb more for hdd for an extra RM 100 doesn't really attract me...

Just like proton cars.....we know they have a lot of minor issue......some major a bit....
There are owners never complaint that they have a bad quality car......
Yet they claim that their proton car never give them problem......
This is also 1 in a million......

I've been using CQ40-125AX for AI, Phoshop to design my work.........Games like COH, COD, Hellgate London, World of Warcraft, Crysis and RA3
so far never give me any problem from the hardware......

But, at times I have problem with Vista.......as usual....MICROSOFT WINDOWS.......need to use Ccleaner and Ncleaner to clean all the RUBBISH.......

i think its ok for vista sp1 64bit, anyway i'm using it too and doesn't have any problem
download from the ATI website and mod it using mobility modder.
the graphic driver, yes, u can use the modder in 64bit
oh ya, anyone notice after u on ur wifi/bluetooth in the device manager will appeared 3 bluetooth peripheral device

this is the software to moddify the ati graphic card driver to use on notebook. cos ati no more provide mobile graphic driver.

just dl the normal 64-bit graphic card driver and then use the modder to modify
just follow the instruction.

Me too think of getting that but still keep my option open. Any prominent brand with AMD Processor + AMD GPU will do.

you can request from the retailer.... negotiate kow kow with them.... hehe... that is PC FAIR purpose..

it cover part replacement and labor service. battery covered within the 1st year only, with or without ext warranty. unlike some manufacturers whose only cover labor service, this $199 should be consider as worth it.

i wonder if the charger/wire/whatever-it-is-called will be cover accordingly too.
