if your budget is around RM2000, then i'd say hp would be the best. if you have another thousand to spare, look around for other.

^ you don't have to opt for 64 Bit OS to fully utilize 4GB of RAM. that's just blabbering by people who thinks being 64Bit is superior just because it's there in the market.
- except if you're planning on using XP SP1, which disable PAE by force - dual channel doesn't have anything to do with the detection of RAM size This post has been edited by cracksys: Jan 29 2009, 05:52 PM |

QUOTE(berus_jamban @ Jan 29 2009, 06:57 PM) thank you cracksys for your fast reply. the reason why im asking about this ram things is, i just installed Assassin's Creed downloaded from Vuze HD Network I want to upgrade my RAM first before test run it. But still if not because of the game, i'll still upgrade my RAM from 1GB to 4GB. Just to make sure that my lappy will not get exhausted and to make everything run smoothly. i'm on 2GB with Vista ultimate. reserved 0.5GB for RAMDisk and still no hiccups-what-so-ever. just to share the fact that as long as you're not doing video/graphic/3d model processing, 2GB would suffice. QUOTE(paskal @ Jan 29 2009, 07:05 PM) wow.. seems that you have a high tolerance for heat. i find the 133AX noisy and hot even under normal use. the fan just won't stop spinning! laptop fan aren't supposed to stop spinning This post has been edited by cracksys: Jan 29 2009, 08:37 PM |

QUOTE(nosbleed @ Jan 31 2009, 12:38 PM) max limit is supposed to be 8GB, amirite? well, you could force PAE on vista and see if it makes any difference. lastly, there's your shop guy where you can ask him to prove that 310AU limit is 4GB |

QUOTE(berus_jamban @ Jan 31 2009, 12:42 PM) aik! how come you didn't notice it? I just went to the link that you provide and they have it! Scroll further down and you can find part number: VS4GSDSKIT800D2 speed: PC2-6400 size: 4GB Kit latency: 5-5-5-18 package: 200pin SODIMM. I don't know why they call it 4GB Kit. But IMHO, I think it is a single stick. Otherwise.. maybe other member can guide us both. IMHO, your IMHO is correct. 2 stick kit part number should start with TWIN source : PCZone price list This post has been edited by cracksys: Jan 31 2009, 01:04 PM |

heh. i just don't see the need to re-iterate that this laptop aren't supposed to be use for gaming. i mean, its not like because you got your big ol' powerful rig, so people who're able to play new games on their laptop need to be shot down, isn't it?
