How is the battery life. For mine, on the first day of chargin (7 hours), the battery only shows 70% full. it didn't last until at night. very light usage. On second nite the charge up to 90%. It is low bat now. So trying my third charge. I read that it will require a few charges before fully optimize. Is it true?
I have switch off 3G, Wifi, etc.

i have a dummy question, TP is my first winmo device. How do I set it to ring and vibrate? If I use the volume to set the vibrate, it won't ring. if I set it to ring, it won't vibrate.

Initially I was reluctant to grab it due to its size. After holding it in my hands the TP felt so right and solid. Best PDA phone I've own so far  brows.gif

I like the size. Even in the case, the size is alright. The only problem is that when put inside the case, can't really hear it ring in area with slight noise only.

Change it back at the place I bought. PDA Expert. They give me another one to test. Charging it now. Hope it is alright.

One question, does any of your TP get hot when using it. When I use it, browsing, games, etc, it get hot especially the metal area at the camera.

bro.. i was the 1 who changed the battery for u! and the other guy who came in later was my supervisor! Old Newspaper bought his TP from me too  icon_rolleyes.gif  i hope that this battery does solve ur prob.
*
Thanks bro, the battery didn't solve. But your new set solve the problem.
Bit dissapointed because HTC quality control not so good for such an expensive product.
But thank you for the good customer support at your PDA Expert IOI branch. They change a new set for me yesterday night and that seem to solve the problem. Will be testing the battery life but it can charge fully. The new set did not get as hot as the previous one. The previous set gets really hot. So think it must be faulty.

Had a pda phone previously (palm xplore) and not so good experience with it. Hopefully TP will give me better experience.

one question... does the TP seem to have issues with minimising apps?

they all seem to close instead of minimise
after applying the tweaks on the XDA forum it still seems to happen occasionally.

Opera 9.5 is one of the guilty parties. Once you launch it, It kills everything else.

Installed 9.51 and it seemed ok. But it'll kill the other apps if u open the sliding keyb

Baronic any ideas?

There's a setting to set it not to close app when click on X.
Go under settings --> Task Manager. in Button tab.
There's a setting to "Enable the "X" button to end running program. you can enable of disable that

D%(n. My TP is having problem again. Since yesterday, intermittently when receiving call it is mute where both side cannot hear each other. The only solution is to soft reset it. From the XDA forum it is reported from HTC that it is hardware problem. Will call PDA expert to ask for a change.

Really frustrated with TP. Really dissapointed with HTC producing such quality phone for such high price.

Wonder why anyone need the weather update in Malaysia. Don't need to know temperature. Just look out and see is it raining or not.

Now that I'm in Denmark, need to check a bit. Make sure wear enough clothes.

How's your TP battery life now? After using 2-3 weeks, it seems to get much better. Normal use, few calls & sms, surf on Wifi, games for a while, can last 2 days. With light use, end of second day around 30 - 50%

With mobile number portability, definitely telco will have to compete and come up with better deal. Will not be surprising to see Celcom or Digi coming up with better offer in near future. That way, they can tie user for 2 years.

yeah well...but they have a problem with 'under-charging'! i doubt it is my battery or phone problem...(SIS asked me to leave my beloved TP there for 3 working days! nah...!)

i followed the guys instruction (see thread below), soft reset... and boom... reached 100% in 20 minutes from 89%! so it MUST be software related!

surprised you guys dont face this... i charged for 6-7 hours still less than 90% full only.

My previous set also face that issue. They change another set for me and it is charging fine. You may look at option to get a replacement unit.

Have been very light usage of the phone for last 3 days. 1 - 2 phone call, 5-6 SMS and around 10 - 15 min Wifi surfing, 5 min Bluetooth sync per day. The phone lasted almost to the end of 3rd day. flex.gif

i almost bang the table and finally they are hesitate to change the battery for me.

As of know, this battery perform up to my expectation  and i will use and see.

One point i like to high light here and i find it is very unprofessional of PDA Expert and bro need to watch out.

When they change the battery for me, they just take out on unopen box, new set, take out the battery and replace with my faulty battery. The best part is the seal the box like nothing happen. May be this is how I got my faulty battery at the first place.

Walau, my first posting already complain so much, first impression no good la

The set that I bought from PDA Expert IOI Puchong also had the same battery problem. But luckily, they are good enough to change a battery for me. The second battery also gave the same problem. They change another set for me.

But now this set have the Mute issue. Since I had to leave overseas I did not proceed to bother with it. I am away for quite some time so not sure what can be done. Either HTC QA is damn bad or PDA expert buy bulk "return" HTC. Who knows, or is it jst our damn bad luck
