would like to know where is the cheapest to get it in penang?

guys i just ordered my TP from clove.co.uk! it was cheaper than in malaysia & i'm not based in malaysia anyway. ordered with tv out cable & 16gb card. can't wait for it to arrive via dhl!

u using 16gb microsdhc old newspaper? how's the speed of the programs on it?

afaik it could take up to 32gb, but no 32gb card out yet only 16gb class 2.

will hopefully get my tp in 2 days time!! can't wait. my 818pro needs replacing...

guys finally got my tp today after it was stuck with DHL awaiting customs clearance! 1st impressions are good, but migrating from dopod818pro still feels strange.

miss a proper hard button for the camera/comm manager. hard to take photos, but will get better with usage i guess.good camera but still sensitive to movement.

quite heavy imho

build quality is excellent

fm radio is ok, but maybe too insensitive?

htc should include more programs for gps & also for g-sensor, google maps uses downloadable maps & teeter is ok.

screen is a fingerprint/smudge magnet!

have you managed to get s2u2 working? i got the blank/black screen even after changing registry settings. have asked in the xdadev thread, but no reply yet.

done all that maa. even delete reg settings, reinstal, soft reset, changed reg settings but still no go.

ya got this 'error' as well. it can get a fix ok, but after few seconds, will say no gps device, then few seconds later on again. but fix time is fast. will try this tip.

also, sometimes when i on tp from standby, some programs are running e.g. my gps or fm radio. don't know how the programs open. strange. have tried touchlockpro with no help & now using s2u2, v 1.35. new version somehow not running on my tp.

battery life sucks as i recently found out as well....

also there is a lag when somebody call till u get the ring & a bit delay to show the caller.

how to add turn 3G on and off:

Once the Advanced Configuration Tool is installed go to the Phone settings and enable Show Band Page. Then go to Menu (right soft key), Comm Manager and check the 3G box. This will require you to disable another button since the TF3D tab only has room 6 six buttons (I got rid of Microsoft Direct Push since it always turns itself on if I have a data connection anyway). If you need more buttons just change the button style on top of the page (but it won’t be as pretty:) ). Anyway, go to OK then Done and soft reset and you’re ready to make it through the day without going through your battery. Just go to the Settings Page in TouchFlo3D then to the Communications Page and you’ll see a 3G button was added.

u don't know what resolution our TP is??? it's VGA.

what do you want to search? garmin? just google garmin lor easy peasy. it's also mentioned in the prev page of this thread the name of the program...

s2u2 is like the iphone unlock app. v1.37 apparently has battery drain issues - it drains ur battery faster. i couldn't get this version to run on my TP, using a bit older version: 1.35. no batt drain issues.

the 1 i think is touchlockpro. google it or search xda-dev. it's freeware

atm, 16gb card only class 2 afaik. i'm using sandisk 16gb, all is good.

yeah i don't like leather uncle pouch as well!! hehe i have a krussel hip pouch which i used for my dopod 818pro and fits my tp just fine, not a nice snug fit like my 818pro.

get it in malaysia lar, in uk, no freebies come with the phone. also the phone would be sim locked to a network - that's why it is cheaper, or you can do like me, buy from clove technology uk, already unlocked, also slightly cheaper than malaysia, including 16Gb card, but no freebies like BT headset...

phone can use in uk or all over the world for that matter, it's a quad band phone...

if you go with vodafone uk, afaik since last year, their phones are sim unlocked already. my wife's voda nz phone worked ok with celcom sim last time we went back to malaysia.

usually all these expensive phones will be on tariff/bill not on pay as you go. so you will need a monthly contract.

go to vodafone.co.uk or o2.co.uk or t-mobile.co.uk see the range there...
