just wanna share some useful program with you guys !

Call Firewall - option to reject/filter unwanted call !

user posted image

Features & Options:
a. Accecpt all calls - pretty self explainatory
b. Accept call from My Contacts only - accepts calls from contacts only, others are rejected
c. Reject all calls - pretty self explainatory
d. White List - accepts calls only from the white listed nos
e. Black List - accepts all call except from the black listed nos
f. Black List Pattern - any no STARTING from the black list pattern list is rejected.
for eg. if you enter "123", so all nos STARTING from "123" will be rejected
this is a very nice option with which you can block nos from any particular network, country, city , area or whatever you can think of.

Download it HERE

Note : tried this previously with my trinity [ work great ] but haven't try out on TP yet. tongue.gif i haven't try this yet cos i have tons of other applications to try with. currently trying to 'tweak' my TP to play rmvb movie !

Hi, after reading this post for long and can't stop myself for posting. This is my 1st post but i had reading this forum for quite some time.

Ok, here it go.

I just purchased TP on Monday 29/9/2008 from PDA Expert from Plaza Low Yat.

May be my luck is not good. The set i purchase is having battery problem. I charge it over night and only able to charge up to 50%. As mention by fellow brothers here, i soft reset few time before is show 100%. What a day! rclxub.gif

BTW, PDA Expert offered to install what the call "package software" into TP. (Mistake .......)

On the first day of usage, the battery feel hot and only can last 4 hours. Second day, charge overnite, off the setting that may drain battery power, turn it off, guest what, it only last 2 hours.  vmad.gif . Damp................

So, i went back to PDA Expect on 1/10/2008 and talk to them.

According to them "the battery problem is due to the "package software that they install, in particular Brilliant Tweaks"  ohmy.gif What?? According to them, the tweak cause the battery drain thus battery problem.

I told them i am not convinced, but they want me to leave my set for them the charge and test. What the hell! They seem reluctant to change the battery for me because i am 200% sure is battery problem.

So, "PDA Expert Service is good" may be just a myth i guest.

I express my unhappiness and they just dun care. They just said it is due to software problem and not battery problem. Bloody hell, treat my like small kid only.

i almost bang the table and finally they are hesitate to change the battery for me.

As of know, this battery perform up to my expectation  and i will use and see.

One point i like to high light here and i find it is very unprofessional of PDA Expert and bro need to watch out.

When they change the battery for me, they just take out on unopen box, new set, take out the battery and replace with my faulty battery. The best part is the seal the box like nothing happen. May be this is how I got my faulty battery at the first place.

Walau, my first posting already complain so much, first impression no good la

AFAIK i hv 2 frens bought thier units at PDA lowyatt. One of them complain that the phone is a bit slow compare to the other frens. and he go back to reinstall the software. ATM i hv not met the fren yet and dunno how is the outcome.
as i can see lots of PDA expert use 'free software support' to attract ppl to buy pda phone n install software 4 them. maybe becoz of lots of ppl dunno how to install software therefore they use this point to attract ppl. when something happen they will say is software coz the problem.
for me install the software i nid is good enough.

lol, their software list is huge but it's kinda 'outdated' d tongue.gif

Just a silly question to ask, coz not so familiar with those techie things tongue.gif

Is the TP USB Sync/Charge cable the same with mini USB cable? I noticed that the connection head is a bit different (in terms of shape), but when i plugged the mini USB cable into the TP port, it can be slotted in, and the syncronisation can function well. I'd like to know whether can I use the mini USB cable as the TP Sync/Charge cable so that I don't need to buy another set? Scared the mini USB cable might not compatible with TP and might damage certain parts. Thanks.

no problem...i'm using the mini cable too from my previous trinity tongue.gif

Anyone found a file named "TMC.exe" under MapKing folder (where you installed MapKing in your device)?

FYI, that's a trojan. :-)

Deleted the TMC files... hopes my Mapking still ok la. What about others? You guys got the TMC files aswell?
*
why you guys so worry about this TMC.exe doh.gif

TMC stand for Traffic Message Channel. Only the latest Mapking 2007 have that function but due to non availability of service providers in Malaysia..it is redundant, so if you guys have deleted it's ok, your mapking will still functioning...... tongue.gif it's not really a 'trojan' file as detected by the antivirus...i have been using this mapking with this file for years d, no issue at all, no virus attack, no BSOD...just nothing happen! icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi

Don't know if it is relevant at this stage now as TP has been out for about a month now but I would like to join the few lucky ones owning this fabulous product. Bought it in LYP on 30/9/08 last day of puasa. PDA Expert Ground Floor near the lift. If you're reading this Negi thank you for all your help. I think your knowledge, good PR skill plus your very good command of Malay influenced me a lot in my decision to buy this. Maybe coming to you soon to update few things.

So far using this TP I haven't encountered much problem. It was a brand new product SIS warranty comes with 4gb microSD for RM2999. Yea compared to Maxis's deal it is nothing but I use Celcom anyway. Have to fork out extra cash for monthly extra mobile bill for 24 months probably worked out about the same.

Just use the tweaks applied by PDA Expert and from reading the whole 41 pages of this topic I will try the other tweaks suggested that's in the first page. Will let u know if there is any change. But what I have been using so far much2 better than my last PDA, Eten M700.

Talking about my Eten its LCD broke and I did not bother to replace it (yet). Fixing it not through the official service centre will probably cost me around RM400. Trading it once it is fixed and if it running ok I was told by PDA Expert that they will take it for RM400. So for me not worth it unless I want to fix it and keep it as spare. Anybody has interest in it? Either broken or fixed but with fixed LCD screen I can't guarantee if it can work. Sorry if I went off topic with this.

By the way just a suggestion, is it possible or worth it to add in the first post links (most of it from xda developer anyway) what is available ROMs cooked or the original ones and ways to flash it from start to end. It does not need to be the whole process but just the link to the pages that contains it would do. Just to help fellow TP owners as like was mentioned before most of us here are newbs. I know theres a wiki made for TP in xda developer forum so maybe a link to that in can be put on the first post.
Also a suggestion to saudara old-newspaper any download links that has been submitted is it possible you put it as well on the first post. Bukan apa sometimes you read the post and then you said nantila I download link tu because you want to cont reading then pening nak carik semula that link. We have 41 pages so far...almost like finding needle in a haystack hehehe probably thats too extreme.

OKla wrote too much for my first post. Sorry. Just my 2 cents.
*
congrat on your purchase rclxms.gif most of the necessary file, tweak etc etc is available on the first page d tongue.gif usually i'll update it on weekly basis....and user constructive comment is most welcome rclxms.gif

ok guys...here's some update on this TV out cable....

when you plug in the cable, this screen will pop out automatically...

user posted image

once you choose the connection type, then this screen will come out...

user posted image

you can still use your TP as usual browse internet, photo, play games etc etc...all this will projected out thru the tv [ what you see in TP is what you get in TV ] thumbup.gif

watching movie via core player is great! no lag and it's clear, sound output is good and can only be controlled by the TV volume rclxm9.gif

this cable is extremely useful for occasions like;

1. on holiday/business trip - can watch your favourite movie via hotel's TV
2. watch your downloaded movie with this [ no need to burn the movie to disc and play via dvd player ] - this is like your portable cd/dvd player!
3. play games on big screen tv tongue.gif
4. share the photo/recorded clip with your family on big tv screen thumbup.gif

THIS IS A MUST HAVE ITEM FOR TOUCH PRO OWNER ! and remember to get a bigger microSD for all your movie tongue.gif

ooOps.....the length of this cable is 5ft !

Talking about bigger MicroSD.. just now i ask Sandisk guy at LYP (they have promo at GF) ..hes not sure when the 16GB gonna be here in Malaysia. And according to him for a PDA the class (2/4/6) not very important unless ur using a digital camera. Im using Sandisk 8GB Class 2 - so far so good just that i need bigger card for all my full length movies
*
the class does play an important role ! the best so far is the class 6, you'll notice the different in terms of data transfer and application/games loading time if you installed it in your microSD. i'm currently using Sandisk Ultra 8gb class 6..and i'm very happy with it ! bought it for RM120 in LYP. now waiting for the 16gb / 32gb if available drool.gif

tried on crt tv tongue.gif output res of course not comparable with those watch direct from vcd/dvd but it's good overall ! i guess it depends on the compression of your converted ppc movie. i tried both converted movie using spb Mobile DVD and unconverted one [just download and transfer those 700mb movie to pda straight] and both are working fine!
