I doubt so, 'cause depending on where I go, the 3G icon occasionally changes to E. Actually I'm asking this, 'cause I don't want the 3G network to drain my battery life as has been advised to me by a couple of people..

well, hmmm, have u tried the Advanced Config installation file?

1) on touch flow, go to "setting" tab
2) tap "Communications"
3) now tap "Settings" soft button then "Phone"
4) goto "Band" tab.
5) under "Select your network type." select "GSM"
6) tap "ok" @ the upper right corner.
7) watch [3G] icon change to [E]

i am not happy with the performance of my TP now after tweaking it with Advance config, what should i do or can do to get back to original setting?

do i have to hard re-set it? is that the only option available?

cant u just change back the setting with Advance Config? they're registry tweaks, u have to change em back. or hard-reset

open the Advance Configurations Tools > Menu > Restore all setting. Don't have to hard reset

how to read it? simple, September 29 = 1st day of ninth month ( 9 yit chor yat )

here's the tweak : use the registry editor

Go to HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Calender > Locate ShowLunarCalender and change the value from 0 to 1

i found that my TP charges very slowly...even though i have gone through a few charge cycles. charged overnight almost 7 hours still only at 89%. only once did it charge to 100%. should it be like this? even my 838pro's extended battery also does not take this long!

Any of you have actually flashed another ROM into your TPs yet? Been reading a bit on xda forums, and as mentioned earlier, we even have a Malaysian creating his own ROM (good for u dude!)

I wouldn't mind trying it, hard-spl and all, but my concern would be preserving the stock ROM just in case for warranty, future upgrade purposes. Looking here at

it seems awfully technical to dump a stock ROM. Any of you guys done it before? Or maybe sifu Baronic can shed some light

There are some settings in Advanced Config under 'Power Management'. Give it a go and see if it helps!

That does not sound normal. Even on my first charge when i bought the phone, an overnight charge fully charges it to 100%. Maybe you should consider changing your battery from the place you bought it. Another possibility would be your charger, but i do not know how to prove that it is. Hope others have better ideas
