it's a third party software.....highly recommended to install for tweaking stuff. get it from the first page of this thread [ make sure you install the netCF 3 before install this ya ]

thanks for advise.. besides, need to check with u on this matter can it be applied in TD? same OS..
*
it will works well in TD ! as this advanced config tools was originally written for TD then later was made to support TP.....TP and TD are both very identical in terms of functionality....whatever software for TP can be use for TD and vice versa.....[ actually more software was written for TD than TP, cos TD is more famous and more user worldwide tongue.gif ]

oh ok mine expired and now I have mapking gps lock satellite problem. I updated it also but to no avail.

so old newspaper do I have to use advanced config. tool to enable quick GPS?
*
yes, this is the easiest way or else you have to do the hard way [edit the registry].....

QUOTE(antipoison @ Dec 18 2008, 03:25 PM)
sifu old newspaper...
any solution for the picture rotate..?
*
as bro booooster / gavind87 / Chosen1 mentioned earlier, try to play around with the polling interval figure.....

as for myself, i don't really depends on the default accelerometer, i'm using Gyrator 2 which serve me very well thumbup.gif. you can get it HERE [ if you were to use this, disable auto rotate for the TF3D/Home screen as it doesn't support landscape mode, otherwise it's almost 100% perfect IMHO ]

QUOTE(kimganner @ Dec 18 2008, 06:30 PM)
ermmm...so supposed to enable A-GPS? cos the instructions on the link @ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427888 posted by sam_x  says "1. disable A-GPS"  rclxub.gif

btw, any way to make th Calculator look/fit with the overall Touch Pro black look?
*
by default the aGPS / quickQPS is already disable in the stock rom........

FOR THOSE HAVING DIFFICULTIES UPDATING QUICKGPS VIA WIFI / 3G
etc etc.....don't worry, as long you can surf internet from your pc / laptop, you're good d....here's how...

Solutions :
open the QuickGPS application > menu > options > tick the Auto download when connected to PC via ActiveSync option, so whenever you perform activesync with your pc / laptop connected to internet, it will automatically update the QuickGPS data tongue.gif

Hi all... just need to ask a question for the sifus, how often do you guys restart your TP? I usually find that I have to restart it every day or every alternate day for it to work properly.

Another thing is do you guys find it really hard to accept incoming calls? I mean i have to admit that the TP isn't really catered to accepting incoming calls, it lags and most of the time either both call ends because of the huge lag or both is connected and one is on hold. Any external software to handle this?
*
i hardly restart / soft reset.....errrr i think i only softreset whenever new installation of the program prompt me to. no lagging for me even without soft reset for almost a month or two...

tips : my TP doesn't suffer from memory leak issue at all, seriously......search back for the memory management 'tweak' which i posted sometime ago, try it .....i'm lazy to search it LOL. tongue.gif

here's another tweak [ some might find it useful , some might not ]

undocking your soft keyboard / or any of your favourite SIP input

here's the pic to explain what is this all about;

user posted image

Tweak;

1. use any registry editor > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\SIP > change the value of Dragstyle from 0 to 1
2. soft reset

Hello all...Just got my touch pro around 2 weeks back..very happy with it...and i'm very impressed by this forum..the ppl here very responsive and helpful... anyway..i've been reading this forum for quite awhile and i came to around page 60 +.. i remembered before buying i read that there were some problems about the programmes closing by itself automatically... but i can't seem to find it...maybe i read it in a different forum..anyway..anyone seems  to have a solution to that..

it is like that especially at the end of the day..especially when i'm using skyscape software...then when a call comes in or i hide it to use something else..it closes by itself..then later must try few times only it can open again..dunno..maybe it is a problem with the skyscape software itself..but any one faces  the same thing??
*
congrats and welcome to the community ! rclxms.gif

for your issue, try this tweak and i can guaranteed it works ! [ i'm using this setting too and never again facing auto shutdown of application tongue.gif ]

use any registry editor and try this;

HKCU\Software\HTC\Task Manager

change

1. EnableAutoKill to 0 [in decimal] - default is 1
2. MemoryThreshold to 2147483647 [in decimal] - default is 115343360

here's the simple explanation for the above tweak;

Avoiding unwanted cancelation of background applications

In order to improve memory management, the Touch Pro – by default – tries to remain a certain amount of free memory. Once a certain “memory threshold” is reached, the task manager will start to cancel applications that are moved to the background. This might be desirable if you need a lot of free resources for applications that depend heavily on huge amounts of memory but it is a pain in the a… if you want to run a few applications simultaneously [e.g. Mapking for routing, and Gyrator 2 to change orientation of the Mapking while navigating]. So if you know how to use your PPC, you basically do not want this to happen.

i haven't experience constant losing signal even after enabling the QuickGPS/aGPS option.....could it be due to the custom rom you're using? i'm still using stock rom tongue.gif

yes, no issue here either whether enable/disable the aGPS....

now, i change to use SPB Shell ...=.=

any solutions for it? thanks ^^

-----------------

and is it Diamond TF3D Config Setup v0.6.7  can install and use at Touch Pro??
*
lol....it's hard for us to know how slow is the slow of your TF3D......have you apply the TF3D tweak and apply the netCF tweak? i'm currently still using stock rom and happy with the overall performance including TF3D....

using SPB Shell? i rather not......i would opt for custom rom for performance than just cosmetic interface.....

QUOTE(halu_cf @ Dec 24 2008, 01:35 PM)

After install advanced config and some tweak frm 1st post to boost the performance.

lol....for any software issue look no further than this thread or xda-developer, for hardware issue straight to SIS brows.gif here's almost becoming a technical support for HTC d tongue.gif

ok to solve your issue, here's the step by step guide [ with my actual screenshot ]

1. apply registry tweak to enable gps photo [ skip this as you already done that ]

2. you will get this gps photo option as pic below;

user posted image

3. select/open the gps photo and you'll see this screen;

user posted image

4. once gps locked on you'll come to this screen; [ with the gps icon at the top screen ]

user posted image

5. go to the advance option tab and tab open the 'Grace period' option; [ only in gps photo mode you'll see this option ]

user posted image

6. from the menu inside the 'Grace Period' select none;

user posted image

7. you're done and happy geotagging !

note : your geotag pic will be stored in the sub document folder [ poi folder ]

hey guys.. wanted to know whats the diff between DiamondTweak and Advanced Config Tool? which is better? and which is more user friendly for the typical noob (like me).
thanks.

Added on December 26, 2008, 2:32 pmto Baronic - please provide another download link on your blog (non_game_cabs); current link keeps breaking and very slow.

thanks and much appreciated for your good compilation of programs biggrin.gif
*
both are very very similiar.....imho, Advanced Config Tool is a must have because you can tweak almost everything regarding every part of the operating system where else DiamondTweak on the other hand concentrates on TF3D and has a lot TF3D-tweaks to offer which Adv. Conf. doesn't have.

don't worry, you can have both as they co-exist together....just don't apply the same tweak on both application

here's another link of Baronic's compilations of non game cabs file - alternative download HERE !

talking about pouch.....here's my personal view

i personally won't consider those typical device attached leather cases [be it bi-fold, tri-fold or whatever fold]. why?....

1. i simply don't want to smack those bulkiness in my face when talking on the phone.
2. most of the leather pouch won't cover the pda thoroughly...always some expose area here and there....get what i means?
3. expensive
4. and errrrrrr leather pouch tend to be very uncle look type....lol

i prefer those non device attached pouches [ like those golla pouch and etc etc ] simply because

1. i ONLY want to hold the phone over my ear when talking!.... tongue.gif

don't take this seriously.....just my opinion icon_rolleyes.gif
