Ask Maxis...i think TP can use Blackberry??? Here few hiccups for stock ROM TP.

- Once in a blue moon - all of a sudden in a middle of a call your TP just silence itself - people cannpt hear, you cannot hear people mad.gif
- Theres a gap of a second or two before someones from the side could hear you (vice versa) during a call
- As already mentioned - theres a two-three second gap on the ring - still ringging after you hang up
- Not many softwares available for TP yet
- SPB Travelers works fine with TP, Mapking 2007 also better than TD - but my Garmin XT failed to get sufficient satt. Google Maps with GPS works like a charm! Can actually pinpoint me to nearest 20 meter radius!
- Volume during a call soft - can be counter with max volume setting
- Sandisks 8GB card works fine - still waiting to test 16GB
- Most of the issues i faced (for a stock ROM) probably could be address with HTC/SIS new ROM (probably before Xmas)

Is it me or does TP seem to be taking a long time to lock to a satellite using Garmin XT? Should I try another GPS software instead?

Issue : Take long time to lock satellite : [could be due to your car tint]
Solutions : Update the QuickGPS frequently

Issue : GPS stop when goes into sleep mode
Solutions : Go to Settings > Display > Backlight Override > enable all the options there
Using both Mapking 2007 and Garmin XT, both also working fine here! tongue.gif  Still new to Garmin XT [ using for about a week now ] but the more i use it the more i love it!

Anybody found a good pouch for their beloved TP?
*
My pouch probably will arrive after Raya from HK. Bought through the net from PDAIR at RM98 plus postage. The best pouch would be Piel Frama from Spain but then again the price start from RM325 a piece! Give it a month - after Raya we shall see nos of shop at LYP sells the case - mainly from Capdase. But cant find PDAIR from LYP though. I bought a dark brown flip top leather pouch. Shall post pics once i got it

Installed the advanced conf. in my TP... my TP now a little bit snappier with regards to the TF3D (scrolling photos now much faster). Apart from that theres not much difference i guess

Ok thanks.. actually i only tweak the TF3D performance... the rest default coz i dont really need it. Btw the connection tweak - advisable for me to use always connect to GPRS/3G or only connect when needed? Apart from it might drain battery faster is there any other drawback? I also use A-GPS (dont know can work or not). Thanks

* We have 32 official TP user here and still counting. Im not surprised if by next month we have more TP user than TD

My advice to newbies ... dont flash anything. Use HTC 1.93 ROM and install Adv. Conf. if u really have to. No problem and speed and performance really not bad.. good actually. Unless ur expert like Baronic etc etc...then u can flash
