tried the .Net Config Tool, there are still lagging on certain programs, especially games. But as for the wm based programs like Office, Windows Media Player, as well as 'Start', 'Setting' and 'Program' options, there's an improvement of opening/loading response.

anyway, still have to thank old newspaper bro for his tireless effort to work the things out. 

everything run smoothly after tweak but just hope the battery can last much much longer

This is the first time I post in lowyat forum. Been using the forum as a silent lurker for a while. Thanks to lowyat forum, I made a decision to abandon my old treo600 and bought the TP on 28th Sept from PDAExpert lowyat ground floor.

Extremely happy with it !

I actively read both lowyat forum and xdadevelopers forum and have been adding tweaks and stuff. I am running stock rom and very happy with the speed. Got used to it after about a week.

Anyway, I have this problem hope some guru can advise.

I exported my old palm treo contacts (600+ contacts) into a .csv file. Was hoping to use to directly in Outlook after adding an extra line using excel for various fields (got the tip from microsoft forum). However, importing into Outlook 2007, only the names are there. No phone numbers or email or address.

So I decided to just manually enter the phone numbers and addresses, took me about a week. However, when I sync to my TP, the contacts is incomplete. Some are complete, some the names is there but no details, others have name and maybe email but no other numbers. If I delete a particular contact in TP, it dissappear in Outlook. I have to re-enter new contact and sync and it will appear correct in TP.

Does anybody have any suggestion what I can do ? I can go and delete each incomplete contact and re-enter but fed up with entering so many contacts already for the past week. Where does Outlook save the contacts file on the pc ? There was a suggestion somewhere to use a program in outlook folder to check .pst file but I can't even find any .pst file on my pc.

Is this workable for our TP? got the config file from xda. Further to that any of you guys have problem of automatically rejecting/answer/missed calls while taking your TP out from your pockets?

Got mine on 9th of October last thursday as an upgrade to N73. Loving it.
The only con I found in this phone would be the sound volume of the phone.
Its a great phone and I look forward for more applications/games that utilize its keyboard.

Just curious, how does that action drain the battery? I'm currently using the end key to switch to vibrate mode.

i install FInixNOver VGA Battery Icon after install sdkcerts. Nothing happen with the battery icon but remain full bar ( classic one ). please advice...

Anyway SUPERBLY GREAT SERVICE, got this set at RM2899 with 4GB Toshiba SDHC Class 4.

Tried out Garmin Mobile XT with this beauty and it works great for me!

Hope to learn from all the Shi Fus here how to make it a better phone.

The back cover's a lil' loose that's all, I mean it's still quite hard to pry open, but it's significantly looser than when I first bought it... Bad luck I guess...

The sliding part loose as in a simple soft push to the side will rock the keyboard out by a lil'. XD

For those who love Worms World Party like me, here is a hint on how to get your keys working for version 1.04
To edit the keys manually, you will need to download a Hex Editor ( Any type would do)
By default, the program itself should be using C1 C2 C3 hex values for your Fire,Jump and backflip keys at address 10A,10B,10C
To modify it to suits your usage, here is a list of hex values for the corresponding key

Front keys:
Center D button = 86
Hang Up = 73
Answer = 72
Back (the arrow button) = 75
Volume Up = 75
Volume Down = 76

Keyboard Keys: ( its funny that when you are using keyboard mode, the default navigation up down left right arrow keys are weird where up = left, down = right , etc. )
Up = 26
Down = 28
Left = 25
Right = 27
Enter = 86
Tab = 9
Left shift =10 (turn off = E5 )
Del = 8
CTRL = 11

I personally set the volume up key as jump, volume down as backflip, D-pad center button as fire while using default Dpad-navigation for movements. ( Screen set to align to the right side means the D-pad keys are on the left of the screen )

Due to the stupid navigation on the keyboard which I dont think WWP PPC version allows you to change, its suggested that you dont use the keyboard.

BTW, anyone know any good web development tool/editor available for Windows Mobile? Preferbly PHP/Javascript/CSS/HTML color coded editor.

Ringtone Delay Patch << Who tried this and it actually worked?
Its meant for WM5 but HTC Touch Pro come with WM 6.1, is it compatible? Is there any chance that the very loud ringtone will damage the phone speakers?

My battery is stating full on the left upper corner but actually it's drain out...

Anyone have this same problem? I'm using slide lock, on the slide lock page, it is also stated it's drain out..

I was really disappointed. Sighh guess I'll go for martin fields then.
Was really dissapointed in how other countries look at us. I feel ashamed. Time to migrate I'd say.

Here's Kerry's Review of TP Flip Up Pouch.
Before I decided to buy a pouch for my TP, I've been researching elsewhere and found out so far those brands like brando, pdair, etc is almost exactly similar in design. They basically just "stamp" their logo in the pouch, to me its all the same. The difference is that there are a few types of pouch, one is the flip up and the other is the slide out pouch. I believe there's a crystal hardened aluminium casing or some sort available now.


They come in a box, all wrapped up and nice. And they come with a free keychain too.

When you opened the box, unwrapped it there's your pouch =)

This is the back look of the pouch, it ain't that bulky from the back. It just looks bulky thats all.


This is the pouch with my TP fit on it. Initially I was dumbfounded when I open the box because I don't know how to put the TP on since it has two layer (keyboard). I thought it was like a clip on because from what I saw when I opened it, there's a plastic white cover. I then realize the plastic white cover is for you to slide your keyboard in hence the picture. Its abit tight at first but it fits perfectly nice =)
Also sms'in in this mode needs to get use to it because as you know there's plastic cover holding on to it.

*Also for those TP users who has mentioned that their keyboard is slightly loose, the spring mechanism is loose etc...when you fit this in the pouch its not loose anymore due to the tight fitting of the pouch and the plastic sleeve holding on to the keyboard.

This is how it looks like when the keyboard is not slide out. Also the other end of the pouch has the PDAIR logo engraved on it. If you buy other brands like Brando etc... you will get their logo imprinted on it.

It looks pretty bulky compare to the stock pouch. But the outer part has a nice cushion layer. Love it.

This is the side look of the pouch when it is closed.

Last but not least, this is the back look of the pouch. Notice there's small holes for the speaker and a well designed hole for the camera. I have tested the sound quality and it is better compare to using stock pouch as the latter has no holes hence the sound is softer.
Also there is a clip bundled together with the pouch, it is an addon accessory if you want it to clip it to your belt =)

Conclusion:
Pros:
+ Better quality than the stock
+ Durable
+ Design
+ Fits in perfectly

Cons:
- SMS in keyboard tad to be a little tough for me as the pouch gets in the way of my fingers.
- Slightly bulkier compare to the stock pouch

Well guys hope you like the review. For those who plan to change your stock pouches, what ya waiting for? Go get em' ;p
