#1 You need iTunes 7.7 and above to get apps from appstores (use the fake country ID trick to get free apps)
#2 You need iPhone firmware 2.0 and above to get transfer apps into your phone.
Alternatively, buy some itunes gift card from ebay and use those credit to purchase your iPhone apps.
