MNP is free of charge for now, regardless to or from any telco. smile.gif

Having no expiry is what tempted me to switch over since it won't expire until I'm 25 years old. laugh.gif

I've just port over my Hotlink to Celcom's UOX plan. Now awaiting activation which they say is within 3-5 days and I think it is slightly a bit too long. biggrin.gif

I'm now officially an U.O.X user. I've also received a SMS from Celcom saying that I am now an exclusive member of U.O.X. and that I will have no credit expiry. However, when I check it via *124#, it doesn't show that it is valid until I am officially 26 years old. Is this normal ?

after all, u only have rm5 credit, so dont lost anything if topup now.
plus, next week on CNY, maybe (actlly hopefully..tongue.gif) they have topup bonus!!!
(eventhough its been a while they offer it..sad.gif.
dont have it in last christmas and hari raya haji.

I'm waiting for the validity date to be updated. It will be cool if they have a topup bonus, I guess I'll wait a while then before making my reload. This is my first time ever having/using a Celcom line. biggrin.gif

Did you just subscribed to UOX?
Did you go to Celcom Service Center to verify your IC and University/College?
If you did, they will change your validity to 26 years old.
*
Yes I just subscribed but I just ported over from Hotlink so I am required to show my IC, I've also requested to be on the U.O.X plan and I saw the Celcom staff stating my plan to be on U.O.X on the form. hmm.gif

In this case, you should have validity until 26 years old immediately.
Not sure why they have not update the system.
*
Guess I'll wait until after CNY before making a report if the validity period remains the same.

Any existing number will do. There are U.O.X. starter packs as well, I saw it yesterday in the Celcom branch in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail yesterday.

thanx..

and is there rm3/month charge for upax sim??
i read it in their official website..

The Program Rates:

Subscription to the Program and U.O.X. 8pax feature
Celcom reserves the right to charge a subscription fee of RM3/mth for  special rates and features under this Program. After the implementation of such subscription fee, Celcom reserves the right to terminate the features and rates in whole or in part if the customer does not agree to pay the subscription.

Celcom reserves the right to charge a separate subscription fee of RM3/mth for  the special U.O.X. 8pax feature under this Program. After the implementation of such subscription fee, Celcom reserves the right to terminate the features and rates in whole or in part if the customer does not agree to pay the subscription.

In the event of insufficient credit in the customer’s account and/or if subscription is stopped after the implementation of the RM3/mth subscription, Celcom shall, in its sole discretion, migrate and charge the normal 8pax rates and/or any other prevailing rates. An additional RM3 on top of the normal subscription fee for the special Program rates/features and/or the U.O.X 8pax subscription fee will be charged if the customer wishes to subscribe again.

Not too sure about the numbers available. Is this their terms and conditions ? Well, if there is a RM3 monthly charges, it would be charged if you are using the 8pax feature.

lol..

I'm sure you'll be happy with the rates and coverage unless things change like what happen with Happy users.

P/S: I reloaded RM10 within 24 hours of activation and I'm still waiting for my bonus. hmm.gif

if you read the terms carefully, i mean celcom will charge rm3 for subsribing UOX plan, and another separate charge rm3 for subsribing 8pax feature.. so total rm6/month (if you subsribe both).

im using UOX about one and half year, so far they didn't charge anything.. i think they put it in the terms in case they can't make profit with this plan, then they will start charging those access fee.. (they don't want to be like Happy, suddently revise the rates (yesterday) without prior notice to the customer, because they can't survive anymore)..

so, at least Celcom already put it in their term that they have right to do so.. so customer must understand, and cannot angry.  sweat.gif
*
Well if they do charge RM3 then the light users will probably be frustrated and on the other hand the heavy users wouldn't mind much about it. I'm still waiting for my bonus to be given as I have reloaded RM10 within 24 hours of activation. hmm.gif

normally porting from digi to uox takes how long?
*
When I ported my Hotlink to Celcom's UOX plan, it was around 3.15pm that time when I submitted the form, I received the SMS from Maxis and Celcom to confirm the porting at about 8.00pm later that night.

U.O.X. plan is for anyone who is aged 18-25 years old, it doesn't matter if you're in a campus or not.

Your existing credit with Happy will be forfeited upon porting. Yes, you will have to go to any Blue Cube or Celcom Centre to port over.

Perhaps you could try selling off the credit to people who wants it.

Usually it is within a day but it also depends on how efficient their service is. I ported to Celcom's U.O.X. plan from Hotlink and it was done in about 5 hours.
