i already sign up 4 celcom uox but i've lost my simcard.
already lost about a year la i think.
then i sent an email to celcom careline. they reply this:

"For your kind information, our record indicates that your mobile
number has been recycled on 22 May 2009.

On that note, we regret to inform you that we are unable to
re-instate your prepaid account."

i thought that uox can't expired until we reach 26yr.

Best if you could verify with Celcom directly.

both offer very cheap rates.. but hotlink youth club is slightly cheaper.. but uox/sox on the other hand offer some other advantages such as
- 8pax (got half-cent sms, 10cent call),
- anyone between 13 to 25 can register without need any student card
- wider 2g suitable if u travel a lot
- wider 3g coverage very useful to make video call anywhere
- free careline service (although the service is not so good lol)
- cheaper broadband prepaid service (rm6/day or rm20/week)
- using facebook via sms unlimited for rm1/week (new)
- got monthly usage bonuse, birthday free call/sms, and suprise reload bonus

does this apply to any other phone besides blackberry(celcom package)?

I asked the ppl there in celcom centre n they said the broadband prepaid service is only applicable to blackberry which can be bought thru Xpax plan, is this true?

I'm a heavy internet user so I need an unlimited access but at da same time i still wanna use UOX, is this possible?

don't ask ppl at the celcom centre, they do not know anything tongue.gif (they dont really understand what we are asking for, and they dont really sure what they talking about)

broadband internet and blackberry internet service (BIS) is a different package.

you can easily subscribe broadband via *118# and choose Celcom Broadband from the menu, choose either daily plan or weekly plan.

the daily plan allow you to surf internet 24hours (1 day) for only rm6, while weekly plan allow you to use internet for the whole week (7 days) for only rm20.

be sure that your plan is successfully activated before start surfing (to avoid super duper expensive pay per use charge), and stop surfing before the plan ended (u can renew subscribtion if you still want continue surfing).

i have to agree with u over the celcom centre service teams, they are terrible in solving our problem, until now i got pending problem and they are not even following up with me, im gonna make a complain soon and make sure the top management team know the prob that the customer are facing over their customer service support team, im really pissed!

ok back to the broandband service, let say if i want to subscribe to the daily plan, can i use it only when i need it? I would only turn to this plan when wifi option is unavailable

Guys, maxis just raised the charge again for their Hotlink Youth Club users effective 19 March. Just 1 cent though when HYC send an sms to other than maxis.

Reason is; "The slight 1 sen/SMS increase to other operators is still comparable
with what other operators charge."

I really thought the last time they would do these kinda things was in 2007's Super Savers..

Aiyoo.. Then celcom can follow their (cheating) marketing strategy. Make UOX plan really cheap than other telco then revert back to normal charges after a few months.. That way celcom too can capture a lot of youngsters.

But celcom is clean I believe, don't ever do that.
