w00t! The Kingdom has been announce for a late-November release. This was one of my favorite movies on HD DVD. A must-get for action movie junkies. The last 30 minutes of the movies is simply stunning!

My UPS package finally cleared the censorship board yesterday and arrived today. Luckily the total value is below RM500 so no tax
The Antonio Forcione Quartet in Concert and Nine Inch Nails concert BDs also arrived today from JSDVD so there's lots of stuff to watch this week QUOTE(kianwee @ Sep 10 2008, 05:11 PM) Yup, correct. Mine was shipped on the 4th and it's still not here yet. I live in a jungle kampung This post has been edited by arj: Sep 10 2008, 06:50 PM |

QUOTE(jep @ Sep 12 2008, 12:01 AM) Will try that...it could be as i used the 'Dynamic' mode for the pictures setting in my R8.. The contrast definitely shouldn't be that high. As for the sharpness, turn it all they way down to 0 or maybe just leave it at a low single digit number.default 'Dynamic' Settings are Contrast - 100 (Full) Brightness - 45 Sharpness - 75 Colour - 55 |

QUOTE(jep @ Sep 12 2008, 12:55 AM) Sharpness is the one that needs to be set to 0 or a few notch above. Contrast should be anywhere between 60-80 depending on the lighting conditions, same goes for brightness. Color should be between 50-60, depending on how you like the colors to look like... |

I have a brand new John Mayer BD for sale, RM85. PM me if anybody is interested
QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Sep 12 2008, 09:32 PM) Eh taiko taiko, if I have a 5.1 Creative speaker set and a receiver, what would I need or how can I get Dolby Digital that is if I can get DD with such a set? If the speakers uses bare wires and the sub is an active subwoofer, you can hook them up to the receiver. If the receiver supports DD then you shouldn't have any problem playing DD tracks from movies. |
