customs people really take their own sweet time. I send all the declaration doc. last week..

yeap, just invoice for the item that i import. and declaration of the tariff imposed, which in my case is 30%


yeap, around rm700. DHL.

i also careless didn't properly realize my item already over 500.

but, u may declare the item any amount u want. but then if the package gone missing, courier only reimburse declared amount only. so i dont wan to take the risk. quite number of my package gone missing b4.

on the other hand, my package still at customs.

Have a chat with the DHL clearance officer just now, seems that the clearance work flow for imported movies on flim/cd/dvd/blu-ray etc is this:

package arrived at DHL Subang >> Custom check >> Imposed tax (30%+10%) (if declared value under RM500, get cleared) >> if tax imposed, it will be directed to FINAS for screenings >> Charges for each BD screen is RM50 >> however customer may appeal to have an exception for this fee & screening by declaring it is for personal usage >> appeal approved, item cleared but tax 30%+10% is still applicable.

those goons at DHL didn't fax me the appeal letter before. Give them piece of my mind, and suddenly everything is in order. maybe next time i'll consider FedEx.

so, kena tax, so hassle. beware guys.

and i try to give cheaper rate. all shipment is via DHL international priority (2-3 days)(same like all my bd package), comes with real-time tracking, can consolidate your package and so fourth.
