Have a chat with the DHL clearance officer just now, seems that the clearance work flow for imported movies on flim/cd/dvd/blu-ray etc is this:

package arrived at DHL Subang >> Custom check >> Imposed tax (30%+10%) (if declared value under RM500, get cleared) >> if tax imposed, it will be directed to FINAS for screenings >> Charges for each BD screen is RM50 >> however customer may appeal to have an exception for this fee & screening by declaring it is for personal usage >> appeal approved, item cleared but tax 30%+10% is still applicable.

those goons at DHL didn't fax me the appeal letter before. Give them piece of my mind, and suddenly everything is in order. maybe next time i'll consider FedEx.
