I'm happy to found this forum&topic, cause I ordered a 4850 Golden Sample, I did it 31-Oct, could I receive the first batch of this card? I'm purchasing it at a "famous" online component shop in Spain.

All you guys have 4850 GS, is this card stable at those high core/mems clock? or Should I downclock it a bit while I just doing light work as can be internet-word-movies

Hi again Gainward family! I've received my 4850GS today, it was the last one they had, and now its out of stock.
Couldn't test the card yet cause I'm waiting for my board too, tomorrow I'm receiving it so this weekend I'll be able to test my entire system

Another question, I saw this one Gigabyte GV-R485OC-1GH, Core at 700Mhz and 1GB of memory at 1980Mhz. AT THE SAME PRICE THAN MY GOLDEN SAMPLE ONE!

I've got a 20" monitor, 1680x1050. At these resolution which will be better? that GV-R485OC-1GH or GS4850

OC is pretty similar for both. If that 1GB will work better maybe I sell my GS one to get that 1Gb version what do you think people?

I'll keep my 4850GS and maybe I go for a 5870GS next year

Will there be any more revision of 48xxGS series from Gainward?

I noticed mine has nickel-coloured heatpipes, this means I'm safe


PS- Does Gainward include any type of stickers (ati, or their own company) in their retail GS Box? I got VGA + 6pin->8pin converter + vga->dvi converter and some quickguidepapers and drivers CD.
Some kind of sticker to put at the front of the case would be great dont you think so?
