Core speed correspond to the vGPU provided. 700 core on 4850GS is easy on every cards. I don't see why a 700Mhz factory-overclocked card is better than a reference card by only the core but not the PCB and phase power.
I'm not sure if the voltage of the 4850GS changed or not, but I did check the profile and it looks already. Or only the changes in BIOS matters? I didn't look into the BIOS of the 4850GS.QUOTE(kevyeoh @ Oct 8 2008, 10:33 PM)
they can sort the chips by binning the speed, hence handpicking...
all automatically tested and sorted according to speed... won't slow down anything....
Finally someone who knows what I'm talking all automatically tested and sorted according to speed... won't slow down anything....
On the side note, all 4850 reference can run 700MHz stable? There are bound to be some that can't do that, those which can is a better card. Not all chips are manufactured equally, each and every have different limit.
