Helo,

I have a new nokia handphone with the battery Battery BL-5CA. So, how long should charge for the first time ?
What type of battery this is ? Ni-cd ? Li-ion ? or other type ?
So normally should i let it discharge completely before charge ? or need to charge it when it is low ?
I need to know this so that how to have a longer battery life...
Any expert can explain this ?

THanks,
yoksan

this is a Li-ion battery...
for every rechargeable battery, first time charging is always 8 hours to enable it to last longer....of course, after complete discharge...
also, for it to last longer...don't overcharge it...that is, when your battery is full, don't let it charge overnight....
as for further explanation about these rechargeable battery, i can't help you...why not take a look at wikipedia?
