I wonder, how a Malaysian have an opportunity to go to London to further studies in London? Be it Piano, Violin, etc etc. What qualifications do you really need? Do you really need to be really really good? or you just have to be rich enough to spend in London?

Those who gone overseas are mainly going for diploma or higher standard courses.

Most college (I mean anywhere in this world) require at least grade 5 for practical and theory during enrollment.

As an educator, no matter where you go you are still learning the same method because most music education method are origins from London such ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall. There is a diploma courses in Malaysia that is similar except you will not get to see the real music professor but education wise is the same.

And about quality performance, it is all by the musician effort on practice and research, not by education.

Everything requires $$$.

To make $$$ well spent, study hard and have passion on it. What I can tell is, if you love music, you will not mind paying the fees.
