QUOTE(hazzy @ Sep 5 2008, 08:09 PM) warh... u have enough time to get bonded with ur SG hahaha...thanks thanks....yeap....have been doin research for months now and roughly knows about the diet, behaviour and of course the most important thing is commitment. Its like having a real baby! good training to future to be dad! anyway, it is suggested that u make 100% research and fully prepared with suitable cage, bonding pouch & sleeping pouch before u get a joey ya? please:) |

QUOTE(jitshiong @ Sep 6 2008, 01:09 AM) Yes, can bond with 2 person. Alrighty! Thanks a bunch! But there's definitely 1 person that she/he is more comfortable with. The actual owner that handles her/him most. The one that carries her/him during the day and playtime. It's not possible for 2 person to carry it at the same time right? So it'll be bonded to the actual owner plus those ppl that plays with them often. Total bonding with 2 person, a bit hard la. |

QUOTE(hazzy @ Sep 6 2008, 02:47 PM) yeah, u have to think about that too Wookay! Thanks alot on the info! Cool Cool! Having my exam now anyway, research doesnt means u are well prepared u have to learn and own, than only u can know about these cute lil fella research, well prepared (cage, time, money) ure ready to own one yup, definitely no problem. but just like jitshiong said, there;s definitely 1 person that ur SG will be more comfortable with. i have friend, they are a couple. they bought a a wild 1 years old SG, after 6 month, they are fully bonded with both of them, but their SG is more comfortable with the girl. so no problem with it |

Howdy. Good morning! xD Hm....have a question with me. How you guys define a well researched soon to be glider owner?
I mean, other than to know how old is the suitable joeys, taming process, bonding process, suitable cage, behaviour, suitable foods and nutrients, a very long term commitment, and having a glider means most of my time in a day would need to spend with it. Are there any other things that i should know of? I don't want to be a bad owner... |

QUOTE(Jamien @ Sep 7 2008, 02:23 AM) @glen: Lol i see you've done your homework. I suggest you read up on suggie ailments and diseases also. Prevention is the best cure right? Plus you won't panic too much if you know what's happening. Arigato! Ya, i've read about it actually. It's a very very long list. which i think quite a few is a common disease (like obese...omg...cant imagine a round glider...they wont be able to glide anymore...xD)...Yeap....will bookmark that page so that next time if anything happens i won't go Added on September 7, 2008, 2:40 am QUOTE(kelvin_faye @ Sep 7 2008, 02:27 AM) glen.siew : u have to ask reanne or hun to question u lol! haha Ooo...phone....scary....xD....Will try to check out the blog 1st....thank you! This post has been edited by glen.siew: Sep 7 2008, 02:40 AM |

Howdy Howdy! I see some of you all here have mongolian gerbils. I just want to know whether the nail of the gliders is it as sharp as gerbils? or it is sharper? (before and after trimming) Just curious...coz i see their cute tiny fingers have quite a long nail to climb...xD...ARIGATO!

QUOTE(kelvin_faye @ Sep 9 2008, 12:01 AM) Mongolian gerbils got nails but wont give u scratches like SG give u.. so i also dunno whose nails r sharper.. hehe QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Sep 9 2008, 12:04 AM) Gliders have sharper nails.... coz they use for climbing. Gerbils dig, so their nails are not as sharp, needs to be firm and sturdy for digging. Gliders have curved nails like cats, coz they need to climb and grab on stuff, which can cause scars, scratches and itchiness(allergy) if we do not trim their nails. Ooo..icic...thanks for the info ya! Anyway, kelvin...i have a gerbil named Fluffy as well...she is the most adorable gerbil ever....xD...she is the 1st gerbil that i bought at unknown petshop (near to petshack 1)...when i bought them (another is furbor..but died already...T_T) that time they still so puny and tiny...now she is already the mother of 9...i actually bought it for RM8 only...i think got some irresponsible breeder breed it then sell it to them....if nobody buys them...they would feed it to the snake...=.="...actually i didn't know much about gerbils that time....well...consider myself lucky to get such a cute pet and i saved her from the SCARY SNAKE...!! |
