its roughly 2-3 dollars. melbourne 2 dollars can get beer.

indomee you can get there. like a whole box (30pkts) for like 8-12 dollars. so no need to bring that. some stuff i see people bring in no problem. stuff that is commercially packed should be no problem. i seen people claim brahims curry and stuff.

but dont take my word for it. just ask at the embassy here.

yeah dont mess with aussie customs. they will bust your a$$. plus if your unlucky they'll bust you. then put your face on border patrol tv series. hahahahahahah. funny show. when you go aussie make sure to watch it hehe. so make sure you declare. if you declare and they say you cant bring it in. they will confiscate it. and thats that. if you dont declare. they will fine you and confiscate your stuff. they are very good at finding food. dvd though i dunno i brought in so many they never bother me also. just food i think.

in melbourne got that old movie theater. the astor. they got two movies for $10 hahahaha. so all in all =$5 bucks per movie. albeit they are old movies. tongue.gif but still good. can go watch star wars and goonies in the cinema

hahahah. yeah the aussie life huh guys. VB and fish n Chips sundays. hahahah. actually i get nightmares thinking of the crazy life aussies live. crazy aussie rules football and what not.

but i seriously think the coffee is the best . man that stuff was awesome. especially during winter.

oh for other tourists. look for hardware lane (i think thats the name), got good nightlife. gin palace is also nice. forgot the roads already. this is for the melbourne folk.

im not sure where croft institute is. i been there once. i remember i had to walk through some garbage filled alley to get there. hahahah. but the place itself was pretty cool. makes you feel like you in a science lab for those that dont know. hardware lane is like a lane of coffeeshops and nightspots. very cool place. a bit on the pricey side.

another place that is cool is traders bar. where the prices of all the drinks rely on the in house 'stockmarket' so if everyone buys VB the price for VB goes up and the other drinks go down. and what not. supply and demand. sometime got stock market crash. all drinks damn cheap. cool place. worth a visit at least once. its on burke and collins under the national bank i think.

the problem with being a resident or PR is that the quota that they reserve for you is less.

so they have 1000 new students. maybe only like 200-300 will be locals. the rest will be made up of internationals cause they pay more money. its just more economical for them.

everyone is scared because almost all economies are attached to the US.... when US hits a recession and stops spending. Two things happen.

1. US starts a war.... this is because war feeds the economy. somehow.... Most US wars took place during recessions i think.

2. US stops buying goods leading to companies overstocked with no buyers. more stock. more money for storage. more debt for each company and country.

... anyone got stuff to add or to correct?

i was with telstra for a bit. they are stable. but they give you a very low cap. from 2Mb line after 10 gigs. they cap you to 512Kbps

switched to iinet. they were working pretty good. they gave around 20-40 gig before they capped.
