indomee you can get there. like a whole box (30pkts) for like 8-12 dollars. so no need to bring that. some stuff i see people bring in no problem. stuff that is commercially packed should be no problem. i seen people claim brahims curry and stuff.
but dont take my word for it. just ask at the embassy here.

Overall, i already adapted Aussie style, love this place, never going back to msia next year, either going to work as fruit picking or farm job. When grad, apply for PR. Oh btw, some of u guys are in Brisbane as well? I never meet any Malaysia living in Brisbane, not in QUT and Griffith thought. About Brisbane, the city is boring after 9pm.. if it is not weekend or friday, highway is yours if you driving a car. Most of the weekend while driving to wellington point, i see some aussie hot chick making out beside the road, some look like he is raping the girl but actually the girl is kissing back very passion, drunk aussie. =.= In brisbane, it is a good place to live, i feel safe living here. Southbank cineplex? it is still 5bucks for me cause my friend got student movies saved card, they only give up those card in certain date and it is vey limited. 2 more weeks to finish semester, then i can enjoy life in Brisbane before going back to Malaysia. Mythras, back from my days, 3 days max you will get the visa after medical checkup but now i dunno la. Haha, when u come to Australia sure suffer for the first term just to give u a head up. =) haiyo. never wanna come back huh. hurt malaysians feelings loh. i know our country is not the best. but how to get better if no one wants to come back to improve it. haiya...mat salleh suprememo mentality or grass is greener mentality? i know a lot of aussies wanna move to malaysia cause they like it more here. must be grass is greener mentality.

QUOTE(ivango88 @ Oct 27 2008, 01:40 PM) So which beach in melbourne are the best spot for surfing? Cause I thought of learning surfing at least an experience right... dunno. but i do know that people travel out to the areas around great ocean road for surfing. in melbourne itself i am unsure. QUOTE(bhypp @ Oct 27 2008, 01:58 PM) ahhh each have their own opinion mar...i agree with taht statement...if all leave and not stay coz its crap there's no way we can improve it...yup...i know it wouldnt make much difference by just a single person by to a certain extend it will help right?? i think most ppl are driven by the financial side of it....the currency bigger....can buy more stuffs....but for me its not all about money....so migrating is not my thing.... i know only bout torquay and the area around it....but no real good ones near the city i think....torquay is where RipCurls born...and 1 of my frens stayed there whole summer, work in a fishnchips shop and surf...all summer..... better beaches for surfing in NSW n Qld....coz the sea here sucks...the cold current from the southern sea doesnt really favour the surfers....warmer currents in NSW n Qld......im just speaking from hearsay tho......dun take 100% Added on October 27, 2008, 2:02 pmah dude im applying for clerical job la...i think u misunderstood that im thinking of driving cab....i was just saying....like if i can do that or not....like work day job n still drive cab....anyway thnx for those info...im sure will help some other fellow readers! @pandadude....hardware lane? is that where u got 'the croft institute' ??? where they serve drinks on test tubes n stuff?? im not sure where croft institute is. i been there once. i remember i had to walk through some garbage filled alley to get there. hahahah. but the place itself was pretty cool. makes you feel like you in a science lab for those that dont know. hardware lane is like a lane of coffeeshops and nightspots. very cool place. a bit on the pricey side. another place that is cool is traders bar. where the prices of all the drinks rely on the in house 'stockmarket' so if everyone buys VB the price for VB goes up and the other drinks go down. and what not. supply and demand. sometime got stock market crash. all drinks damn cheap. cool place. worth a visit at least once. its on burke and collins under the national bank i think.

QUOTE(KVReninem @ Oct 27 2008, 08:50 PM) yes you payless fees but you have tight admission if you want to go those special like medical etc.. u get more *goodie* too .... the problem with being a resident or PR is that the quota that they reserve for you is less. so they have 1000 new students. maybe only like 200-300 will be locals. the rest will be made up of internationals cause they pay more money. its just more economical for them.

QUOTE(limeuu @ Oct 28 2008, 08:02 PM) why do you think the world is so worried the us will go into a recession?.....when you are such a huge debtor, the people who lends you the money will lend you more money so you don't fail........ there isn't much logic in the world of high finance and derivatives...... p/s i should add, while yes, the us owes tons of money, they don't have to pay them back.........yet.....and no lender is going to ask for their money back.....yet.......... everyone is scared because almost all economies are attached to the US.... when US hits a recession and stops spending. Two things happen. 1. US starts a war.... this is because war feeds the economy. somehow.... Most US wars took place during recessions i think. 2. US stops buying goods leading to companies overstocked with no buyers. more stock. more money for storage. more debt for each company and country. ... anyone got stuff to add or to correct?

QUOTE(Mythras231 @ Oct 30 2008, 09:52 PM) What do you mean dodgy connection ? Which provider are you using ? Optus and ''3'' ... Which one is cheaper in telephoning and internet . Optus got iPhone plan xD i was with telstra for a bit. they are stable. but they give you a very low cap. from 2Mb line after 10 gigs. they cap you to 512Kbps switched to iinet. they were working pretty good. they gave around 20-40 gig before they capped.
