finally I've shortlisted my choice to 2 university which is UQ and UWA for electrical engineering course, I'm in serious dilemma here, figuring which place to go, any advice? thx
*
UQ and UWA are both prestigious uni. both are good.
UQ is better in science field I think. and the campus is realllly beautiful. I dont know bout UWA tho.
i think it doesn't matter which uni you choose..since both uni are of equivalent standard..i mean in my case i chose QUT over UQ..it's not about which uni is better but which uni you think is suitable for you..i had a dillema too..but in the end i made my choice. good luck1

Student Visa's issued after 26 April 2008 have a working visa built in. You guys never read is it? If such Simple English just skips past you, what makes you think you can do academic English?

Yes, I do have a beef against universities taking in people who are ill equipped with the language. So does many Japanese universities, while I'm at it.
*
what is exactly your problem??
do you have a problem with me? or with students generally whom you think does not have as good of a command of english as you??

QUOTE(kamagotchi @ Jan 12 2009, 08:49 PM)
What? Visa gives you the rights to work because your work permit is attached to your passport (be sure to apply for a Tax File Number), doesnt have anything to do with your CoE. And validity of your visa links with your duration of studies. Mine was given 6 years.

Inform DIAC, attach scanned images of both expiring and new passport.

i just heard from the IDP fella that the COE is the most important thing..other than your visa..and once you get your COE you can start looking for jobs bcos it is held as a proof that you're studying in aussie.

and yeah i know about the tax file thingy too..so much procedures giving me a headache!
