ohhhh ok. 800 for a flat... is this a per week price? or per month? a flat on swanston.... i dont recall seeing any except for the uni type ones near RMIT. which were ok. just really small 2 bedroom.

well the bond differs. when i was there i got a bank draft that is payable to the government and they keep your bond. and at the end of your lease you get it back. but that was when i rented through an real estate agent. i dunno what your case is.

Someone who does not study on campus. Usually distance learning students. And generally part time. A part time student can be both and external and internal student. It is rare for full time students to do externals, but some do.

In a nutshell: Internal = on-campus, External = off-campus. However, be aware there are exceptions to the rule. And as far as I know, international students can't do external while IN Australia.

Firstly, mX is hardly credible source of information. Secondly, rent in Brisbane has risen faster than Sydney, and while on a pro-rata basis BNE is more expensive than SYD, it has to be taken into account that you still can get (relatively) cheap places not too far from the city, but it is near impossible to get a cheap place Kingsford. I'm only about 3KM from the CBD as the crow flies, and I still found a place for $130/wk (plus utilities).

Try finding a room with that price in a 3KM radius of Central Sydney.

hihihehe, you really need to start being more aware of your surroundings, and stop expecting to be spoon-fed all the way. Half of the questions you ask are all answered in this thread and/or RMIT's website. All very public information.

Do yourself a favor, and forget about it. I don't like the sound of this. Who is the agent, who is the landlord, and are the bonds lodged with the relavent RTBA? And finally, unless you know what you are doing, one should never ever transfer money via western union to a unknown party. There is no protection, little trail, and you don't want to start your time in Australia by being scammed.
