the best actually to speak to the faculty itself. Not thru general Intl office but by asking the faculty which handle the subject n course.

hope this help. In general you wont know the amount of student. smile.gif

For ANU, the name of the course would be Bachelor of Actuarial Studies, and this is the only uni in Australia that offer actuarial course with the degree name in actuarial as well.

For Macquarie, the course name is Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Studies).

However, for Melbourne Uni, the course name is Bachelor of Commerce. That means either if you want to do accounting, actuarial studies, finance or economics or whatsoever, you will be accepted into Bachelor of Commerce, just one course. And then, you will choose the specific subjects you want to do during enrolment which will determine your major. Your major (from 2008 onwards) will be officially printed on the certificate.

Currently, all five unis in Australia that offer Actuarial course do not set quota against it. Under normal circumstances, students who fulfill the entry requirements will be admitted. As the case of not setting quota, many students who find it difficult to cope with will subsequently drop out, and the drop out rate is maintained at a high level. So you may probably only see a quarter of students left in your third year compared to the first year.

Entry requirements: (Australian Year 12: TER/ UAI/ENTER)
ANU 95
Macquarie 94
Melbourne 91
UNSW 90
Curtin 85

i dunno lar melb gets kinda sien most of the time...i wanna go mamak!!! i wan roticanai under rm1.....
IH = international house... very fun, good place to stay if you have the cash.

Damn clock adjusting time... Very mahfan... and it means we're "further" away from Msia... sad.gif

Horse race... Don't care about Melb Cup anyway, angmoh culture not mine.

Melb does get quite sien at times, since most of the happening stuff are around the city, not within it.

I too miss RM1 roti canai... and when I thought AUD9 is overboard, wait till you see this from Brisbane:

those who look for what to do this spring;
go tessellar tulip farm drool.gif  if you had not being yet..or have a drive with your gfs to yarra valley n see the exotic scenery. brows.gif
or if you still can catch up the snow; go now; snow will only last till end of october.
ohya forgot about royal melbourne show- smth liek fun fair..go hav a try ..see chick play with them brows.gif

Tulip... went there last year... pretty good indeed, a nice drive from Melb too. From there onwards can drive all the way up to Mt.Dandenong Observatory... and pray there's no fog/haze around. It was kinda dusty when I was there last year that I couldn't really see much of Melb's city skyline.

Royal Melb Show... meh... fun fair...

The best thing that I enjoyed in Melbourne was actually the Melb Motor show... Oh yeah, the gold mines were pretty good too.

it is for the subject...generally that subject is only for actuarial students only, so those taking it r confirm doin actuarial studies as major(unless some of them so free til simply take that subject).
but why r u worried bout the numbers and quota? all u need to do is just meet their entry requirement.

dunno ler... took that pic from my friend's facebook.. maybe will ask him next time.

Or you could ask around in Brissie haha... it looks like some sort of Chinese restaurant with the "龙" words around, and since it has roti canai it might just be a Malaysian owned shop.

I rather get the frozen roti pratha. I forgotten how much it actually costs but it's cheap and good enough to satisfy my Malaysian tummy.

nah, cause the area's packed with aboriginals (mostly done by them) unsure.gif

about the election, it's still uncertain who won, they said the results were close,

i think liberal will most likely win this election.
