If you can afford...get the Pioneer plasma
I've compared the Pioneer 508XG (HDready only) vs Panny PY800 vs LG PG60UR... Price 15k vs 9k (FullHD) vs 14k (60") together with my wife who is not tech savvy and not really demanding on PQ....she can see clearly the differences in PQ, the Pioneer are better than the FullHD Panny and she ask me to forget about the LG even though it's a 60" as the PQ really sucks! even compared to out 3 years old Sony LCD V-series. |

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Oct 31 2008, 02:40 PM) Finally some news on the 9G Pioneers. Looks like the LX version is dropped from the Asian market, instead we get the KRP which is slightly better. Prices look more reasonable, somewhere in the range of RM20K for the 50". This is one mean set based on reviews in Europe and US. It also has the "Pure" for those who dislike calibration. Darn!!....should have waited longer Pioneer Press Release : CNET Asia link QUOTE Where's the Kuro in your sig bro? |

If Pioneer drop their price of the PDP-508XG/428XG/LX508/LX608 when they launch the new models here...grab it....the PQ are among the best of flat panel TVs...

QUOTE(pspfan @ Dec 9 2008, 02:00 PM) I think can get at RM24k for LX508, LX608 street price around RM37kwait for the new KRP-500A/M or 600M...will be launching next year, Singapore already have theirs.....and the price are cheaper than the LX series (based on S'pore price) so maybe for RM18k, u can get the 50" KURO FullHD..... |
