I bought new extension socket with Surge Protector to use with my new set. ALso been using to other equipment for years.And so far no problem.Also in the warranty , they advised us to use surge protector. AVR better i think.

read the newspaper advertisement for panasonic on yesterday, PV80 now come with 5x Blue ray Disc  + Camera + HDMI + S-VIDEO Cable promotion!!! but at retail price rm 4699 lah. dunno go electric shop can get cheaper or not.

I bought at electrical dept at Parkson.Brand is BERLIN,at RM25.90, got 2 years warranty. 4 socket with surge protector. Just the cord is a bit short only 1.3M.I use it with the DVD and home Wifi. 

For AVR, i spotted somewhere at computer shops costs RM80.00

just now i used measuring tape to measure my monitor screen and TV and found out that the diagonal size is smaller than the stated size

say 19" monitor i only get 18"
29" TV only only 27"

any specific reason for that?

yea im still using antique CRT for both TV and monitor haha

so today's LCD and plasma will have actual diagonal as stated? then will be a good news for me as thinking to change both TV and monitor liao lol

we are concern about the lightning because...lightning is not covered with warranty right?
by the way, in ipoh i surveyed, the best price for panny 80H is RM3880. (tv only) i think thats the best i can get over here, if you guys know any shops in ipoh....pls let me know.

but isnt that is 4:3 ?
(16:9 by right is 1366x768)

I did take advantage of last week's J Card Day at 1 Utama.  Bought a PV80 and besides the 5% discount, there was the RM450 Jusco vouchers (RM10 voucher for every RM100) plus a bonus RM100 Jusco voucher.  Collectively, RM550 worth of vouchers besides the other free gifts - camera, Nike t-shirt, s-video and HDMI cables - and the zero interest installment plan.  Certainly the best buy (for a PV80) in Malaysia.

so how much is the approx nett price u bought it minus all the free gifts & vouchers?
