What's the current price of the LG 42LG53FR right now? Been reading the thread and some said that around RM3600-RM3700. I would like to know where to get that price?

Any other 42A65M users out there that can suggest nice settings? |

QUOTE(okhui26 @ Jan 5 2009, 11:06 AM) Hi, every sifu, is there anyone use Sharp LC42A65M before? I saw it's PQ very good during visit the SenQ shop, any comment for this model? Just bought this a few weeks back. Love the PQ!! It blew away my brother's 42LG53FR in PQ.Haha, going to have one soon, just wander it is good or not, thanks ya!! Try looking around for best price. I got mine for RM4.3K excluding the free gifts. On the subject of 100Hz, no it does not have this feature. Frankly 100Hz taste depends on a person. I myself prefer true cinema speed which is 24fps. In my opinion 100Hz makes movies look like it was shot using a camcorder. Too smooth. This post has been edited by Exarkun: Jan 5 2009, 11:50 AM |

Added on January 5, 2009, 1:09 pm QUOTE(skyfcmy @ Jan 5 2009, 01:06 PM) Hmm, I don't think we can turn off 100hz unless we talking about HD natural motion or motion flow features that remove juddering effect. Depends on the brand. Some can switch off the 100Hz.This post has been edited by Exarkun: Jan 5 2009, 01:09 PM |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 14 2009, 05:50 PM) Guys...I mean Sharp LCD kakis, One thing about Sharp is that I find the DEFAULT setting is already quite pleasing. I'm using the LC42A65M. Same goes with okhui26. Mebbe ask him what his setting is.I've just got the LC46A65M. Can anybody share the best settings for the LCD or at least the required settings to make the LCD run at its best? |

QUOTE(okhui26 @ Jan 15 2009, 09:55 AM) Welcome to the Sharp Club, Yeah the OPC feature is great. I'm using it too for most of the time. Only when I want full brightness do I switch off OPC.Actually the LC42A65M came with the OPC feature, it is a feature that automatically adjust the contrast based on your room environment's lighting. Currently i am still waiting someone to send me a LCD calibration CD so that can play around the setting. |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Jan 15 2009, 10:51 PM) If it comes with the OPC feature...cant we just adjust the settings of the OPC? Wy do we need a LCD calibration cd to adjust the settings? Maybe when you have the cd you can provide me with a copy.... Thats the beauty of OPC, you dont have to adjust much. OPC controls the backlight brightness of your Sharp LCD. In a bright room, the OPC will be set to full brightness, if you reduce the lighting of the room, the backlight brightness reduces as well, automatically. Can u guys teach me how to use the OPC feature ....starting to play around with the settings already Hey...should we have a Sharp LCD club thread so we can discuss settings and other stuff relating to Sharp LCDs? This is to ensure nice brightness for the LCD and also to reduce strain on the eyes. Many people set full brightness and watch in total darkness. What they don't know is that, that can cause eyes strain which can lead to bad eyesight, migrain and many more symptoms. What you can adjust with OPC on is the contrast, colour, and sharpness. All that depends on individual preference. |
