QUOTE(tayhaithian @ Sep 10 2008, 02:47 PM) string be open minded and take others advices , u couldn't compare with not afforable and stealing in this method , maybe the 1 who saw you having the episod is requesting for "SHARING SHARING SHARING SHARING" so don't think like a lawyer insteed of the word of "Curi" thats too much different . The intention of sharing is usually sample and then purchase if you like the item. This obviously never happens in most Malaysians mind set. Cannot afford then don't go for it. Because buying music is entertainment not necessity. Need entertainment for free, stick to FM radio. You can say the bands are already making tons of money. The most common excuse I always here. I was an aspiring musician and I understand the pain my band had went through to get things out for people to listen. Whoever can actually make it deserve the money because its super hard work to get there. And then people just rip off. Partially it's our mentality issue. We don't see anything wrong. I bought Microsoft Office for Mac the other day, my colleague's comment "Why you so stupid and go buy original?"

Let's not go too far to discussing OSes.
What about the most common and taken-for-granted sins of piracy: Downloading songs/mp3s.
Is 99 cents "not affordable"?

what about asking for a million of song
if case : i bought a million of song which is @ RM 1 each so total will cost at RM 1,000,000
the other ahem fella who make it ahem stuff ( not really because of not affordable ) in the end he make it million of song in hand with no cost and an extra RM 1,000,000 on hand still . What if he use that Million to invest on business ? so ...

"Need entertainment for free, stick to FM radio". Good one mate.. Maybe those who love pirate stuff so much should buy a pirate iphone..that would satisfy them. Cheap and affordable. No need a really/original iphone.

Now why would you need a million songs? This further shows the example I posted about Malaysians hoarding.
You posted that, I assume, because you wanted fair treatment. You cant, because that guy who got his one million songs the "ahem" way, does not have any conscience in him telling him that it is wrong. Just because someone else is doing it, does not mean you have to follow too. And just because he does it and not get caught, does not make it right to do so either.
Good habit comes from upbringing or an epiphanical experience. Mine was the latter, I was also brought up with the notion that "Piracy, biasalah!" is okay and normal. It is once I stand back and looked at what I had become, hoarding stuff without thinking of my actions and the result of that actions, that I came to my senses.
It have to start somewhere, and in my case, I put the first step forward. If I wait until the price of DVDs/WindowsXP/Vista/Original titles to come down to my "affordable price" level, I would have never stopped pirating. I dont like not doing the right thing on my conscience.

Well, looks like 99 cents is still expensive. "Free" is not a pricetag, last I checked.

Hard to change them but atleast some are trying.
