Dude, Alexa can only track site visitors who have the Alexa toolbar installed - how many of us installed that? So it's quite a useless number, except when used to compare the popularity of 2 different websites, i.e. as a relative measurement. PR used to be important but there's less emphasis nowadays. The PR that you see in the toolbar is not updated - Google has the updated PR internally and use a different scale in ranking websites. You should also look at the relevance of your webpage to the targeted keywords and also geographical location - make use of Google's Webmaster Tool. Other than that, like someone mentioned above, PR and Alexa is mostly for "shiok sendiri". QUOTE(mars1069 @ Dec 17 2009, 06:00 PM) If you say # of visitors and # of pageviews are more important, then Alexa is the one you should look into coz the ranking is based on "average daily visitors & pageviews over past 3 months".

QUOTE(lifeplayer @ Jul 4 2011, 01:33 AM) 1. Google +1 is not affecting PR 2. Google +1 is affecting SERP, but not much In time to come, it will matter. Google has already admitted that social mentions, especially on Twitter and Facebook, are considered in their algorithm.
