my automobile blog is new & not update everyday, also not many backlink but still can get PR1. My more popular Funky Downtown is older and update daily, many backlinks but still PR0. So, I dun really care PR as long as the blog is popular. But I know PR will help for higher rank in google search results but what to do  rclxub.gif

aiyak, poor thing...try promoting your blog more often and some other alternatives and let me know ya...when your blog reaches PR3... thumbup.gif

QUOTE(mars1069 @ Oct 17 2009, 06:50 PM)
i also hairan, actually I concentrate more in my Funky Downtown, there is also a category named "Automobile". But my Auto Blog always got some proposals via email from companies like giving free gift like keychain on their car related souvenirs, advertisement (but tak jadi) & today just received an email to request for "guest post" and they will pay me for "formatting & time".

Looks like I should focus my Auto blog more coz looks like got "potential" and bright future smile.gif

BTW, anybody here has experience in "guest post"? How to charge them? Any idea or recommendation? I just replied them & asked for details and proposal for payment.

What should I take note give I offer "Guest Post"?

Thanks.

Ya, ya...auto blogs have more potential than other categories because not a lot of blogs are available in that category. I myself is looking for auto blogs to advertise or better for sale(can reach USD400 plus plus) if your PR is high. About the guest post, if you want, charge higher la...if they don't accept only you lower it lor... HEHEE

I dunno whether PR can help to drive more traffic to my blog. If it does, I hope it will remain, or else, no problem to remove it smile.gif BTW, I read a post somewhere, it says PR0-2 is Below Ave, PR3-5 is Ave, PR6-7 is Good, PR8-10 is excellent! so, looks like my PR2 is still same level with PR0 - Below Average rclxub.gif

why u said it is important for internet marketing? can u share?

ya, we need to look at PR first because most of those sites with high PR has higher backlinks and the quality is much better.

your blog load a bit slower than usual cause got a lot of javascript flash. don't put in so many of those things. oh, and try not to link to other blogs with low PR. If you must, put it as nofollow links. Try exchanging links with those higher PR one and the ones with the same topic as yours.

I can imagine people looking for "bmw founder", "bmw owners club" or "bmw fan club", but "bmw founder club"???? Founder is the people who set up a particular company, how come you make a "club" out of it?

Not to mention, your site has nothing to do with bmw club or whatever. It's just a blog with random contents. I don't think you can get high pr with that kind of site.
*
rclxms.gif yeah, you are right...now that you mention it, I have questions regarding it too.

It's true, if ppl search my blog name Funky Downtown, my blog ranks 1st & 2nd, and 8 out of top 10 on first page search results are links to my blog from social bookmarks sites. Unless someone knows my blog name Funky Downtown otherwise the ranking has no meaning at all, just syok sendiri and it's not the keywords for my blog contents as well  nod.gif
*
yeah, if it is too general...like humor, funny, etc., my blog will appear in like 200 pages(Google search) but if you search my name, then it will appear in the first page. According to what I read la, the higher your PR, the higher your blog will be placed in the Result page.

Wrong... I done a lot of SEO for PR=0 websites.. and they are ranked much higher than sites that have higher PR.

About search ranking... My advice is Don't pay any attention of PR. PR if more of siok sendiri only..  brows.gif
*
oh heh...then why they can appear at the first few pages one?

I'm not talking about people who search for the "bmw club", I'm talking about people who search for "bmw club founder". Ask yourself this, when is the last time you google for an organization founder? wink.gif
*
hehe, when they like that club, they will wanna know about the founder right? Like maybe the founder has an interesting experience of setting up the club. Or maybe he's a playboy with 500 mistresses... tongue.gif just maybe or he is an underprivileged who won a lottery then start thinking of owning 500 BMWs. Just maybe...gotta' be reasons why people look up for this keyword. But, I agree...I don't look up on founders, except you count those school assignments. sweat.gif
